Park Chaeyoung feels as though he's perfect.

Too perfect for her.

The pair is laying down on the picnic blanket that they'd previously had early dinner in, staring at the sky and the moon as they talk.

It makes her a little sad, to be frank. Someone as perfect as him— caring, athletic, wealthy and attentive, someone who was so perfect, shouldn't be with someone like her. He was a perfect gentleman, like a prince straight out of fairytales.

Park Chaeyoung was no princess.

"What's on your mind?" His voice is soft, almost like a whisper as he senses that something was wrong, "... you can tell me if something's bothering you."

Park Chaeyoung turns her head, seeing that he was still laying on his back, yet his eyes were still on the sky. How did he know?

"I'm fine, just sleepy," she decides to lie before turning her head back and looking back at the sky, "... the moon is pretty."

"Hmm," he responds, "... not as pretty as you."

She chuckles, shaking her head.

"Chaeyoung, is this what falling in love feels like? I've never felt it before."

Lalisa Manoban doesn't hesitate to cancel her appointments when Park Chaeyoung sends her a text, telling her that she doesn't want to be alone. She rushes there, panic and adrenaline coursing through her system as she rushes up the stairs (because God damn why was the elevator taking so long) to see her best friend, looking blankly at the wall, almost like she was in a trance.

They'd been in that position many times before, although vice versa. In her lowest moments, Park Chaeyoung was always there— she'd stay up till 6 am the next day to reschedule bookings for the following day just so that she could be there. Lalisa Manoban's fondest memories were of the time when a guy she liked had rejected her and her apartment ended up flooding (long story) and how when she showed up at her best friend's doorstep, she was greeted by snacks and red wine. Park Chaeyoung simply listened as she cried and poured out her heart until the two eventually fell asleep.

"What happened?" She asks her, and suddenly she remembers that the pair had a date earlier and wonders whether she should get her crowbar ready, "... I swear to fucking— I will kill him if he hurt you."

It's silent for a moment before Park Chaeyoung looks up at her, and it's only then that she saw the tears in her eyes.

In the twenty years that she knew her, she'd only seen her cry twice. The first time was when she opened her tattoo studio after months of setbacks and difficulty with getting a licence. The second time was when her parents were pronounced dead in the hospital.

"He's too perfect," she whispers, "... I can be with him, he's too good for someone like me."
