ryan was back staying with the cohen's. last week when he got back home, he was left with nothing. his mother had run off with her boyfriend leaving him with nothing but a note and the clothes on his back. sandy had no choice but the bring him back to newport.
the three teens were laying out on pool floaties in the backyard. chilling by the pool had become part of their daily routine since ryan came back.
"you know what i was thinking? i think that this being your last night and all, uh, we should do something special." seth suggested.
"like what?" ryan questioned.
"i don't know what. possibly get a couple of tattoos or some hookers and lose our virginity." seth continued. he had a habit of proposing the most outlandish ideas.
"you're aware that you're talking to your sister right?" savannah lifted her sunglasses up from her eyes in disbelief.
"okay, i don't know. there's a shark movie at the imax. if that's what you're into." seth settled leaning back on the floatie.
ryan smiled, "i think i just want to take it easy."

ryan entered the kitchen from the pool-house. savannah and seth were already setting the table for dinner while kirsten was looking over some work on the counter.
"oh. how was your swim?" kirsten awkwardly asked nearly bumping into the boy.
"it was great. what's that?" ryan wondered looking at the model on the counter.
"it's a model home. i-i build them. well, the real ones, not that one." kirsten explained.
ryan half-smiled, "can you build me one?"
kirsten gave him an uncomfortable look not knowing how to respond. "sorry. bad joke." ryan mumbled.
savannah took a seat at the head of the dinner table with kirsten and ryan at her sides while sandy and seth sat next to them.
"so... last supper, huh?" sandy broke the silence. kirsten gave her husband a glare. "sorry, bad joke." the man apologized.
"it's just a laugh riot around here." kirsten responded unamused.
"this all looks really good." ryan complimented looking down at all the food.
"yeah. it's too bad you're leaving. we never eat like this." seth told him.
