Ch. 11 Disurbing Discovery

Sunstreaker's P.O.V.
Lily's uncle lives close. An hour's drive or a quick walk through the ground bridge.
"Mason tells me this isn't Frederic's main address. Unfortunately, Mason doesn't know his brother's work schedule, so we're just hoping that the aft will be here because it's Saturday," Mirage explains.

I hate I've already been ordered to only detain his aft. The cabin is bigger than it looks from where the ground bridge opened and oddly high enough for us to walk in without holoforms.
"Good, we'll be able to fight some cons!" Ironhide rages.
He shoots the doors open, and we enter.

Once the dust clears, we see one human mech.
"Do you know what you have done to a human youngling?!" Optimus rages.
"Hey, I'm on your side for giving Lily Energon," Fred argues.
"Do you know how dangerous Energon is to humans?" Ironhide rages, "you're lucky you didn't kill her!"
I want to kill this bastard, but I'm forced away from him.
"You'll have your chance!" Mirage rages, "but we need a little more information."
For a mech claiming to be on our side, Fred rushes out of the room. We run after him; I run as fast as possible, trying to get ahead to deal with this aft. 

We find Fred in a lab, typing away as fast as possible.
"You want to kill me? You'll want to thank me, Sunstreaker," Fred argues before putting his hands up.
We provide our location to Prowl so he can arrest this aft.
"... also have Ratchet come," Optimus instructs, seeing what's on the monitor.
The damn fleshie said I should thank him, but I fear he means something will now slowly kill Lily even though I don't want her dead.
"You want her dead?!" Ironhide rages while slamming me to the wall, "you already terrified her, but that's not enough, is it?!"
He forces me up and towards the ground bridge.

Ratchet's P.O.V.
"I never talked to this mech before today!" I hear Sunstreaker argue as he's forced into the groundbridge.
"What the frag happened?" I ask.
"That fragger planned all this!" Mirage rages. "Lily was an experiment; made a hybrid on purpose, but I fear she has something else inside her that will kill her," Optimus explains.
I review what's on the monitor and anything else I can find about Lily or Energon. This is interesting.

Sunstreaker sits in the cell as if he has given up. Ignoring me until I unlock the cell.
"You believe me?"
"I don't think you'll understand without seeing what I found."

"This is interesting; Fred found a way to give Lily Energon via pills. A slower introduction to Energon, much like the small injections I gave Jasmine."
"At least you were trying to save her life, unlike this aft!"
"What's troubling is these pills introduced nanobots that release Energon, and Fred can give the nanobots orders—."
"Fragging bastard!"
"I'm not finished! He's not trying to kill her — though the Energon could have. I do not know his goal if Lily never met us and started liking you."
"So these nanobots have been acting like spies?"
"Yes, but not to get information about us," I show Sunstreaker the nanobots data I retrieved and the new order Fred gave them, "he just programmed the nanobots to influence her dreams before getting arrested."
"Well, I see what he meant by I should thank him, but he's forcing her to come to me."
"Take that as a family member approving Lily likes you. Even if this is forced at first, she'll like you again. Don't push her away, but be gentle. I, unfortunately, don't know how intense the nightmares will be."
"I don't think she needed her uncle's help with having nightmares after what she watched me do."
Sunstreaker does not like hearing that I had to give sleep aid to Lily again last night, and she'll likely need it for a while. I gave Sideswipe a bottle of the pills.
"Is there a way to know if Lily is getting tired more because of the nanobots?" Sunstreaker asks, "I know she's not sleeping more.... yet."
"I don't know."
Sunstreaker leaves the room to inform Sideswipe about the results of the mission.
Fred claims he's not with the cons but fails to realize no human can easily get Energon. He's not a former N.E.S.T. soldier, so we can't say he stole Energon. Mirage and Red Alert will see if they can confirm that Energon was stolen and given to Fred.

Prowl's P.O.V.
"How did you get the Energon?!" I demand.
"I told you she'll be fine, so don't worry."
"Is there any left in your lab?!"
"No, and I believe you already dealt with Clayton Clay, the guy who gave me the Energon. One-time delivery, so I don't know where he is if you haven't dealt with him."
We dealt with Clayton not too long ago.
"You're still under arrest for using government property and experimentation on a minor."
Hopefully, I'm not adding murder to his charges.

Sideswipe's P.O.V.
Hearing about what the team on the mission discovered now has me concerned about Lily's headache. Though for now, she's comfortable and asleep.
"The past hour? Shit," Sunstreaker frets and texts Ratchet, "he says Lily should be fine unless she has light sensitivity or throws up."
Sunstreaker looks in the room, seeing Lily asleep and that I left the light on.
"You watch her. I have to talk to Luke," I tell him.
"No, Sideswipe! I—."
"You'll be fine."
He doesn't know I also texted Drift to be backup, just in case, but it seems this Fred guy has this all planned out. I should ask Ratchet how much control these nanobots have.

"I'm not sure without getting one to examine, and there was none left in Fred's lab, but he said Sunstreaker should thank him. It's possible he meant by helping get Lily to like him again, which may mean she'll have good dreams about him and nightmares resulting in seeking his comfort," Ratchet explains.
This guy is a fragged up psychopath and helping another? How ironic. Hard to know if Lily is still in danger or not.
