Sunstreaker's P.O.V.
I want to go on one last camping trip with Lily before she leaves. I don't care if she wants Sideswipe and our friends to join us-one last weekend at our spot for a while. Next weekend we'll stay at the base.
I forgot Lily is in bed with me until she moves her head on my chest. We've decided this isn't rule-breaking since we have clothes on. She must've forgotten seeing her smile as her blue eyes look at me - or she realized she wasn't dreaming about us deciding to share a bed. Lily isn't happy. I'm telling her we need to get up and moves on top of me. As if she's too heavy for me to move.
"You know I can push you off the bed, no problem?" I ask. Lily holds on to me, resulting in pain, "get off!"
Lily gets off me, which adds to the pain. I hear the sink running for a few seconds before Lily is by the bed again with my water bottle and pain relief. It's painful to sit up enough to take the pills. As I'm doing this, Lily rushes out of the room.

Lily returns within five minutes with Ratchet, who decides to check my healing incision even though we both know not enough time has passed for me not to be dealing with pain like this.
"He's healing, Lily," Ratchet explains, "but he'll still be dealing with pain," Ratchet helps me sit on the edge of the bed, "you want me to help you? The pain relief should kick in before you two leave the cafeteria."
Ratchet is on his phone for a few seconds. I can only assume he's texting Drift about the situation. I can't believe I wish Ratchet had brought a wheelchair, but with how bad the pain is.
"No way that's not a sign of a complication!" Lily argues.
"It's fine; it's only been three weeks since the attack," Ratchet explains.
I'm hoping this doesn't cause Lily not to want to go camping.

Sunstreaker will be pissed if anyone is in the cafeteria sees Ratchet helping him. It's ten in the morning. I hope only Sideswipe and our friends are in the cafeteria. I run ahead to deal with any scumbags.

"..leave them alone!" I hear Crosshairs yell as I run into the cafeteria. There are some soldiers, and a few look pleased hearing Sunstreaker is in pain, "leave them alone. We need to help Sunstreaker."
Crosshairs has me sit at a table while he goes to the kitchen.

Crosshairs, Drift, and Sideswipe leave the kitchen with food as Ratchet and Sunstreaker walk into the cafeteria. The three see how bad Sunstreaker's pain is. Even as he sits on the chair, Ratchet tells the others the pain relief should kick in before we're done eating. Even while in pain, Sunstreaker asks about going camping. I know he'll bring his pain relief, but I worry about if his pain will be this bad. I don't know if I want this trip to be the two of us or let Sideswipe and our friends come with us.
"I'll be ok," Sunstreaker assures me, "but you can't lie on me."
I'm not sure what to think about how he's not worried about saying I was lying on him.
Lightning sits with us as we talk about the weekend plans. I never thought I'd hear her say we should all go camping. Even after Drift tells her, I'm worried about Sunstreaker's pain. For someone like him to be unable to ignore the pain isn't good. I don't know if I want this to be just Sunstreaker and me, even if he wasn't dealing with pain. Even after talking to my parents, I hate that I won't see my friends here for a while.
"I'll be fine," Sunstreaker argues, "we'll go to the camping spot with our friends."
He doesn't sound demanding, but would he make me go?
"We'll leave at four," Drift says, "I'm going to talk to Ratchet."
We didn't think Drift would leave now. What's he up to? The others have to work today, so Sunstreaker - no longer in pain - and I go to our art room.

I don't know why I started crying when we got to our room.
"It's ok," Sunstreaker hugs me, "I told you I want you to keep contacting your friend before I call you, but I think this will work. Hopefully, you'll be allowed to come back when school starts again. I love you, but worry about how you ghosted your friend."

I doubt Lily forgot how most Autobots are ignoring her. We can't deal with that until we know how often she can come here. I guess the meeting Optimus had with every Autobot didn't change anything.
For now, Lily and I work on a painting. I know she does not like this is our last painting for a while.

We work until noon. Though we had breakfast two hours ago, Lily doesn't turn down the idea of going to McDonald's. We'll get something small, and go to the park. I love how Lily loves going to the park and playing video games. I wish I could get Sideswipe to be like her. Even though Lily doesn't play at the park, at least she's outside.
Lily lets me hold her hand as we walk down the street. I'm thinking it's not a good thing that McDonald's is within walking distance from the base. Not like Sideswipe wouldn't drive there and would get Lily McDonald's if she asked.

We got a ten-piece chicken McNuggets, two large fries, and two small root beers. Deciding this is more of a snack.

We sit on the bench by the pond. The ducks are hoping we'll feed them. Lily smiles as she gives them some fries. I need to film this. However, it's a short clip before she stops feeding the ducks.
"Hmm, feeding ducks chicken?" I question.
"Oh, hell no!"
We finish eating and go back to the base.
