Yamata-no-Orochi.

The Serpent God of Calamity.

The Dragon of Calamity.

The Eight-Headed Snake.

Known in human history as the most terrifying god of Japan.

He is the monster that will bring Japan to ruin.

The serpent that dwells in Mount Ibuki.

Cursed the Kouga-Mochizuki bloodline, leading to their descendant to bear the curse, Mochizuki Chiyome.

He was the one all life in Japan fears...

Until the exile of Susanoo.

Susan, the God of Storms. In human history, he was the younger brother of Amaterasu and his tyranny and jealousy of his older sister. He destroyed her rice field, making her hide in the cave that plunge the world into darkness. After that incident, he was exiled from Heaven and has roam the land of mortals.

He is famous for slaying the Serpent God, Orochi and took the legendary sword, Tsumukari-no-Tachi, or it's famously known as Kusangi-no-Tachi. He gifted this sword to apologize his actions and ask for his sister's forgiveness.

But that's enough about history.

In Orario, history is different.

The Serpent God Orochi exist in this world's history and so to the legendary sword.

But Orochi is a monster: an irregular in Orario's term.

After Argonaut save humanity from the darkness, the gods descended to Genkai to mingle with the mortals.

But great monsters roam the land still.

Yamata-no-Orochi is one of them.

Like its counterpart in human history, it was calamity itself.

It destroyed lands, rivers, mountains, fields in the Far East.

It devoured mortals, humans, dwarfs, pallums, renards, and many more.

It took pleasure of eating their flesh as they taste like sweet honey.

It continue to bring destruction until like human history, was beheaded by Susanoo.

But in human history, after the death of Yamata-no-Orochi, it give birth to an oni.

A well known oni that ruled Mount Ooe and the death of her what make's Kintoki regret.

Shuten-dōji.  One of Japan's Three Great Monsters. She was the descendant of Yamata-no-Orochi until her death of foul play. The one who governed the onis in the palace, she was famous with facing against Minamoto-no-Raikou and the Four Heavenly Kings.

But her origin is quite different.

What human history doesn't know is that Shuten-dōji is a derivative of Ibuki-dōji.

Ibuki-dōji is the true descendant of Yamata-no-Orochi.

She is a goddess who loves sakes, pretty boys and girls (she swing both ways), and strong people.

Yamata-no-Orochi was an evil god who desire death and destruction; Ibuki-dōji is the opposite.

Ibuki-dōji loves humans, but since she is a divine being, her view is unnatural to humans.

But nevertheless, she loves humans dearly. Everything she does is for humanity, even if it means forcing them to challenge evil or kill someone they hold dear to motivate them. What she does is everything for them.
