Asclepius.
God of Medicine.
The Greek Demi-god who cured death.
He is the son of Apollo, god of sun, poetry, prophecy, medicine, disease, etc.
He was the student of the centaur, Chiron, who teach him medicine.
And he was part of the Argonauts as the ship's doctor.
But before that, his mother, Coronis, was the wife of Apollo.
But a crow lied to Apollo of Coronis infidelity and in his rage, killed Coronis and changed the white feathers of the crow to turn black.
Apollo, recognizing what he did, regretted killing her, and so he took the child of Asclepius from Coronis body and give it to Chiron to raise.
Under Chiron's tutelage, he studied in the art of medicine and continue growing his talent that he surpass Chiron's skill in medicine.
And he continue to make medicine until Athen, Greek goddess of Wisdom give him the blood of Gorgon.
This blood of Gorgon is the right side. If the left side of the Gorgon was to destroy man, then the right side has the ability to save humans.
After given the blood of Gorgon, he used it to create a medicine (with the blessing of Artemis), that can defy death; a medicine crafted by human hand - not the gods.
Resurrection Fraught Hades as he calls it, is a medicine that has the power to revive anyone in any circumstances. Both humans and Demi-gods can be revived by this medicine. This medicine made the underworld obsolete.
Hades, Greek god of the Underworld sense the impeding crisis. If humanity can overcome death, then the underworld will be obsolete, the place to be judge and be reincarnated or punish would not exist. So he ask Zeus a favor since he can not interfere directly because Asclepius was the son of Apollo to solve this. Of course, we know how Zeus is in Human History and found a quick and easy answer to solve it: by striking down Asclepius with his thunderbolt.
Zeus thunderbolt quickly killed the Demi-god and Apollo was not happy, so to quell his anger, Zeus pulled the dead body of Asclepius up to the seat of god as the constellation of Ophiuchus.
Though I don't know why making someone a constellation would quell someone's anger when you literally committed murder, but ok.
And that is the end of Asclepius story.
His creation of medicine and contributing the advancement of human medicine, he is remembering to this day by his signature staff, the Rod of Asclepius. The staff with two snakes intertwine.
And also the first to create the concept of clinical care through research and experiment. Paving the path for humanity to study the science of medicine.
Asclepius of Human History was remembered for his pursuit of medicine.
In Orario History, he was known as Hepius.
A hero who was blessed by the spirit of life, he used his blessing to create medicine to help the sick during unstable time.
He was the adopted son of Apollo and Coronis, and like Human History, Apollo killed his wife become the lie of a crow that the gods used to prank him.
As you can see, the gods are not human as this prank killed someone.
Of course, Apollo regretted his action and took his son to Chiron, who was in this world, a spirit.
Both Human and Orario History of Asclepius have one common dislikes: Gods who are idiots.
If they think pranking a god to commit murder for entertainment, then they are complete buffoons. Gods are to guide humanity, but they used their authorities to do stupid things.
