Chapter twenty-eight

Alexandra's pov:

"Yeah mom.. of course mom.. don't worry I just fell off a tree, no big deal..."

"She was trying the monkey's life, Mrs. Owen"

"It was more than three weeks ago, can you forget about it?"

I felt like I was talking to myself because Jack's little comment was heard by mom who forgot her daughter and started talking to Jack

"Ooh, Jack?. Honey? Is that you?"

"Yeah, it's me, how are you Mrs. Owen?"

"How many times did I tell you to call me Rebecca? I feel so old when you call me Mrs. Owen"

"Ok Rebecca, and you don't have to feel old because first time I saw you I thought you were Lexie's younger sister"

Really Jack.. Now you're hitting on my mother

"Oh honey, thank you"she said giggling, like a little girl, I could tell she was blushing right now..

"Ok mom, I gotta go now. I'm going with Eva to the mall so I need to get ready" Jack's raised an eyebrow..

That means we're going to have a fight because I didn't tell him..

"Ok sweetie, take care and don't get into troubles.. Bye honey"

"Bye mom.."

The second I hung up he said

"You didn't tell me you're going out"

"Well you know now so_"

"ALEX, why aren't you ready yet?" Eva asked the second she walked in

"I'll be ready soon, just give me five minutes" I said running to my room

I dressed quickly in the first outfit I saw in the closet and run back to Eva immediately. You'd say why I'm running? Well because Eva is pretty scary nowadays I don't know what's her deal but I know for sure that there's something wrong.

"What took you so long?"

"I didn't take more than five minutes" I said looking at Jack, who raised an eyebrow at her, clearly I'm not the only one who find something's not fine here

"Let's go" she said and started walking until Jack stopped us

"Wait! I'll ask you a question and if you know the answer you'll go.. if you don't then you'll stay"

Of course when he said that, the guys' eyes were on us now, watching in amusement

"Ok,"

"Mary's father has five daughters_" he was cut off by Nate's voice

"Really, dude.. you didn't find anything else to ask?"

But Jack ignored him and continued

"Their names are Nana, Nini, Nono and Nene. Who's the fifth daughter?"

I smirked at his dumb question and said

"You didn't find other than that?"

"You know the answer?" he said smiling excitedly

"Of course.. Nunu" and just like that his smile fell and guys started laughing

"Oh God..guys? You heard what she answered? Nunu" David, the only reasonable guy in the crew, was laughing at me!!

"Let me repeat it again.. MARY'S father has five daughters. Their names are Nana, Nini, Nono and Nene. Who's the fifth girl?"

"I already told you.. Nunu" And their laughter increased even more
