Chapter 18

Seems like I have fallen in love with him. It's just like what he said to me when we were standing by the wall that separates this place with the outside wall. So I will stay here with him, because with him... is where I belong.

Y/N P.O.V

I slowly open my eyes to see an empty space next to me. I move to sit up and look around, trying to see if Levi's still in the room. The sound of water running in the bathroom reaches my ears, which lets me know that Levi is taking a shower.

I move to stand up, walking towards the window. I slowly open the curtain. I push the window open. My hair gently flow along with the wind. The morning air feels so nice and fresh.

I jump in fright when I feel a pair of arms snaking around my waist. I feel a vibrate on my back, as it pressed up against a firm chest. I turn my head and let out a sigh when I realize it's none other than my boyfriend.

"Is scaring me early in the morning really necessary?" I asked. He let out a chuckle and gently turn me around to face him, still keeping me caged in his arms. I cross my arms across my chest, not hugging him back as I pout at him.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to startle you" he said, gently nudging his nose against mine. I just turn my head away from him. He chuckles once again. He place a soft kiss on my cheek, letting his lips linger against my skin. I feel my body growing warm at his action. "Please don't sulk at me, Y/N" he said, in a soft yet husky voice.

I turn my head to look at him. He smiles as he gives me an innocent gaze. I let out a sigh and cups his cheeks. I gently caress his smooth skin, making him lean his face against my touch. A small smile starts to form on my face.

He's really only showing his soft side towards me. While to others, he would act sternly and often quite scary. But he never acted like that towards me. He's always gentle and caring towards me.

"Why're you looking at me like that, Y/N?" He asked, snapping me out of my thought. I blink my eyes as I stare at him. "What it it? Is there something on my face? Or are you just admiring me?" He asked, in a teasing tone. I feel my cheeks growing warm at his comment. It's obvious that I'm blushing. I bury my face in his chest to hide the redness on my face.

"Shut it..." I mumbled, making him laugh at what I said. He tighten his arms tighter around me, making me press up against him with no gap between us. I feel his hand running gently through my hair as he play with my h/c strands. I close my eyes, feeling comforted and safe to be close to him.

A knock on the door breaks our comforting silence. Levi let out an annoyed huff. I give his chest a gentle pat. He pulls away slightly but still keeps me close. I give him a small smile, making him smile back.

He turn his head to look at the closed door. "State your name and business" he said. His voice turn stern as he speaks, completely different from the voice he use when talking to me.

"It's Cadet Yeager, sir! I'm here to tell you that Captain Smith instruct me to call you, sir" he said. I watch as Levi clicks his tongue in annoyance. I cup the side of his cheek to turn his head to look at me.

"Don't be mad at him, Levi. Eren is only doing his job" I said. He let out a sigh and nod his head, gently leaning his forehead against mine. I smile softly at him as I caress his cheek. "Go on... I still need to shower. I'll meet you up later, okay?" I said.

"Okay..." he said, nodding his head. I smile softly as he pulls away to look at me. "I love you, Y/N" he said, in a soft voice. It really shocked me how drastic his voice can change when speaking to others and to me.

"I love you too, Levi. Now, go on... you can't make him wait" I said. He huffed and nod his head. He leans down, placing a quick kiss on my lips. I smile into the kiss as I gently run my hand through his hair.

He pulls away, only to place a soft kiss on my forehead. He smiles at me as he caress my head gently. He turns around and walk towards the door, grabbing his corps jacket along the way.

He turn to look at me as he stands near the door and sends me a small wave. "Get going, Levi! You're stalling!" I said. He let out a soft sigh at what I said, realizing he have been caught. I let out a soft giggle as he just smile softly. I make a hand gesture him to get going. He nod his head and finally leave the room.

I turn around to face the window again. I lift my arms up in the air as I stretches my muscles. I should get ready for the day. I turn around and grab my towel as I make my way to towards the washroom.

I make my way through the hallway. I hear voices coming from one of the slightly ajar door. Out of curiosity, I walk towards it. I notice Levi is talking to a group of people. I don't know who they are, as their backs are facing me.

Levi notices me and turn to look at me. The sternness on his face is replaced with a gentle look. "Ah. Y/N. Come in..." he said, making a hand gesture to motion me to approach him. I walk towards him and stand next to him.

"The expedition team rescued these group of people from titans during their mission" he said, gesturing towards the people. I turn my head to look at them. My eyes widened as I realize who they are.

I start to breathe heavily as I stare at them. Levi notices the changes in my behavior. "Is there something wrong, Y/N?" He asked. He places a gentle hand on my shoulder. I flinch at his action, as I move away while still staring at the people. "What's wrong, Y/N?" He asked. My vision grows blurry as I feel short of breath.

Levi P.O.V

"Hey, talk to me" I asked, placing my hands on Y/N's shoulders. I turn her to face me. Her eyes seems blank as she continued to breathe heavily. "Y/N?" I call out as I place my hands on her cheeks. Her eyes rolled back a little as her body sways. I quickly catches her as she suddenly collapses.

"Y/N? Y/N... hey! Can you hear me?" I asked. But she remains unresponsive. I turn my head to look at the group of people present in the room. Y/N suddenly behave like as soon as she turn to look at them, making me wonder if she knows them or if these people have any connection to Y/N's past. One thing I do know for sure... Y/N is scared of them, and I will try to look for the reason.
