"Good. Because I don't need protecting."

"I knew you'd say that. But the thing is, sometimes you do. And sometimes I do. We're meant to protect each other, but not from everything. Not from the truth. That's what it means to love someone but let them be themselves."

Jenna's POV

We met up in Coach's office after class to discuss what to do with Lydia. I stood in the back pacing in a line. Scott walked in last. "Derek's outside waiting for Lydia."

"Waiting to kill her?" Allison asked.

"No, waiting to give her a giant hug. Yes, to kill her!" It was silent for a few seconds. I stopped my pacing glancing up at the three who looked at me in shock.

I backtracked. "I'm sorry. Someone wanting to hurt Lydia isn't good on The Bond. It's making me very anxious and stressed and I just, I'm sorry." They nodded. Stiles, hesitantly walked closer to me grabbing onto my hand. I smiled at him squeezing his palm, thanking him for the comfort. He weakly smiled in return.

What is that about? I shook my head returning to the Lydia topic.

"If he thinks she's the Kanima, then yes. Especially since what happened at the pool." Scott explained. That didn't help my nerves one bit, I dropped Stiles hand and begun to pace again.

"It's not her." Stiles argued.

"Stiles, she didn't pass the test, man. Nothing happened." Scott sighed.

"That doesn't mean she's the kanima! She was also immune to the bite, remember that? It isn't her!" I yelled slamming my hands onto Coach's desk. My breath coming out in short pants.

"Jenna, you have to calm down. Turning right now isn't going to help her."

I snarled at Scott. "Oh and you are? You think it is her!"

Stiles stepped in between us grabbing my face in his hands. "Hey, hey, hey, look at me." He directed me attention to him. "That's it, look at me baby. You have to calm down okay? We are going to help Lydia and she will be just fine."

I let out a deep breath pushing my body closer to Stiles. He always knows just what to say and how to calm me down. "I'm sorry." I muttered into his chest as he left go of my face wrapping his arms around my shoulders in a hug.

"It's okay, now let's focus on what we are going to do to help." I nodded turning back to the group.

"Derek thinks it's her." Allison stated. "So either we've got to convince him he's wrong or we've got to figure out a way to protect her."
