"Hope
Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering 'it will be happier'..."

Chapter Twenty-Nine>>

Scott and Stiles picked me up on the way to school the next day. It was pretty silent in the jeep, except for the small side talk Stiles and I had about what happened last night and what our plan was going to be.

"So how are we going to get tickets if they are all sold out?" Stiles questioned.

Scott shrugged. "I don't know dude. We'll just have to find a way."

"I'm sure we'll get the tickets." I assured them as Stiles parked into the school's lot. We got out.

We didn't get just a few steps before Matt approached us. "Hey, do you guys know why no one's getting suspended after what happened the other day at school?"

"Just forget about it." Stiles snapped. "Nobody got hurt." I turned to him. What's got him in a sour mood?

"I-I had a concussion." Matt replied giving Stiles an offended stare.

"Well, no one was seriously hurt." Stiles retorted. I nudged him with my elbow. His eyes snapped down to me. I narrowed mine at him in return which only received a scoff. Yep, someone peed in his Cheerios.

"I was in the ER for six hours."

"Hey, do you want to know the truth, Matt? Your little bump on the head is about this high on our lost of problems right now." Stiles dramatically held his hand up a few inches from the ground.

"Stiles!" I hissed slapping the back of his head. Rolling my eyes I turned to Matt. My hand rested on his arm as I talked. "Are you okay?"

He smiled down at me. "Yeah, I'm fine now. Oh, hey, I got your ticket yesterday."

I removed my hand from his arm while he reached into his book bag pulling out a ticket stub. "Oh my gosh, thanks so much Matt." I leaned my head back staring at Scott and Stiles for a few seconds with a smug grin before turning back around. "I was so worried that I wasn't going to be able to go."

"We'll I hope to see you there." Matt replied, a huge smile crossing his lips. I nodded. "You two. Thanks again."

"No problem, Jen." With that he stalked away and I spun around to face my two dweebs. I smugly held out up the ticket as Stiles glared me down and Scott just looked like a side puppy.

"Don't worry," I cooed to the lost dog. "We'll get you two tickets."

Stiles still glared a huff coming out of his nose. "Seems like you two are cozy."

I rolled my eyes. "Settle down Fido. It's not like I'm going on a date with him. Scott should be more worried since that's Allison. He was just nice enough to get me a ticket too."

Stiles scoffed wrapping his arm around my shoulder pulling me close as we walked into the school building. "Yeah, nice."

"Stop being so jealous." I chided.

"As long as he stops calling you Jen, I have nothing to be jealous of." He retorted dragging us towards the locker rooms for early morning practice.

After practice was over I joined the guys in their locker room, listening to Scott and Stiles still bickering about the tickets.

The door to Coach's office slammed open against the wall and he stepped out. "Can anybody tell me where the hell Jackson is and why he missed morning practice?"
