Chapter One>> No One's POV
The hospital was quiet except for the occasional beeping. Both of the girls were doing well according to the doctors. But while Lydia had woken up Jenna still hadn't. The only explanation was that Jenna was taking her time in healing.
It confused Scott and Stiles.
>>Flashback
"Shut the door! Shut the door!" Scott urged in a hushed whisper.
Stiles slid the door shut but not without making a ton of noise first. Scott gave him a look that Stiles just shrugged too before drawing his attention back to the girl lying on the table.
She looked so peaceful asleep. Even with the small bruises covering her body. Lifting the edge of the blanket up Scott checked Jenna's wound only to find it still there.
Stiles, however concerned for Jenna's well-being, was shocked to see the little bits of black ink peeking out. He was tempted to touch them until Scott took hold of his attention.
"It's still there."
"What, the wound?" Scott nodded lifting the fabric up a little higher for Stiles to see the wound but nothing else.
"But the doctors said that she was fine." Stiles argued perplexed.
"I know, that's why I don't get it."
>>Flashback over
Non the less, it was again time for Melissa to come in and give Jenna her nutrients. She padded along the white hallways, picking up the clipboard from the door.
"Just like that. No, no, you first." Snore. "Me first?" Melissa watched Stiles grinned at whatever dream he was to be having as he laid, probably uncomfortably, on the hospital chairs. A balloon tied to his wrist that said 'Get Well Soon' with a ton of happy faces.
Jenna's dad, Cameron, stood at the edge of her hospital bed. Heart aching as he watched his daughter just waiting for her to open her eyes and say that she's going to be okay.
But he had to get to work. The Sheriff had told him that he could take as long as needed to make sure that she would be okay but Cameron wanted something to keep him occupied. Watching his daughter not moving on a hospital bed brought back too many memories of his wife that he didn't want to experience again.
Stepping outside the room he saw the Sheriff's boy, Stiles he believed, sprawled out on a bunch of chairs. He glanced back seeing Melissa.
"Has he been here all night?"
She walked up to him smiling like a proud mama. "He's been here all weekend, I believe waiting for her." She pointed back inside the room. Something fluttered inside Cameron's chest. Respect. He knew that this boy loved his daughter, even if they were both too blind to see it yet.
"Call me if anything changes okay?" She nodded and he walked out.
Stiles's dream was still continuing as he kissed air in his sleep. Though the cleaning lady wasn't too thrilled when she heard him talking to himself.
