Chapter Twenty-Four>>

Jenna slinked into the back door shaking the remaining numbness away from her hand. Her eyes locked with the floor for a split second taking away her attention from the footsteps that were approaching her.

"Tell me you had nothing to do with it!" Cameron grumbled standing in front of her with his Deputy uniform on. His hands firmly gripping his hips.

Jenna grasped her hands together rubbing the numb one. What did they know? Did the boys already tell Stilinski?

"What are we talking about again?" She squeaked not looking him directly in the eyes.

"Kidnapping Jackson Whittemore in the back of a prison van and keeping him in the middle of the woods." The tone of disappointment that rang through his voice made the lie in Jenna's throat collapse.

"Dad..." She started but he held up his hand to cut her off.

"You do realize they could press charges? You could loose everything just because you were following your boyfriend. I know you say you love him but are you willing to give up everything we have worked for; scholarships, good grades, making All-star teams, just for this kid?"

Anger bubbled in the pit of Jenna's stomach at the accusations that were being placed on Stiles. The skin between her eyebrows scrunched together as she grabbed onto her dad's forearm pulling him into the corner so no one would hear them.

"One; I respect you and you know that but I didn't do this because of Stiles, I did it to help innocent people. Two; I don't know if you had come to the realization or not yet but the deaths that have been happening around town, the murders, they're not exactly human." The look on his face told her he already knew but she continued.

"Jackson is a kanima, which I do not know if you have any clue about because where you stand in the supernatural world is still really fuzzy to me, but it basically means Jackson is a lizard creature someone is controlling to get revenge on people who have done he/she wrong. We tried to tell him what he was but he's in denial. Doesn't surprise me though that's what you get when you've been spoon fed your whole life and now have your head shoved up--"

"Okay, Jenna. I get it." Her dad stopped the consistent babble but still stared her down as if he was going to give punishment.

"I know you want to help, it's in your nature to but you don't know the extent of your powers yet. Hell, even I don't. Only your grandfather and soon to be Charlie would know." He explained settling his large hands on her shoulders forcing her to peek up at him.

A sigh left her lips as she soaked in what he was saying. "You're right but I can't just stand around and watch him hurt people. I have to do something."

Cameron nodded in understanding. He pulled her closer wrapping her in a hug. "I know but maybe for now you should stay away from this, all of it."

"All of it meaning what?" She questioned pulling back from his chest to squint her eyes at him. If he was implying what she thought this wasn't going to end well.
