32 - Starting Point

After a couple of days, Wei Ying and I left for Yiling. I could tell Wei Ying was nervous but I could not blame him. He was meeting his last living blood relative, and she was to help him with his cultivation.

"Maybe we should not," Wei Ying said as we entered Yiling.

"Why?" I asked.

"We do not even know where to look, and what if this is just a waste of time?" He asked.

"You are having doubts," I said, "and you are nervous. I understand. We will take our time. We can find an inn for tonight and then we can maybe look around the area of the burial mounds."

Wei Ying nodded, "fine," he said.

"Don't pout," I told him.

"I am not," he argued.

I then poked his bottom lip, "then what is this lip sticking out for?"

"Mnn, Lan Zhan," he whined.

I then held his face in my hands and had him look at me, "I am here and we will do this together."

"Okay," he said.

I then took his hand and brought him to a nearby inn. We rented a room and I had a bath prepared for him. While he was in the bath, I ordered us dinner. It came shortly before Wei Ying came out of the bath. Wei Ying smiled at me before curling up in my lap as we ate. I, of course, did not mind at all. Holding Wei Ying was the best, and I will never get tired of it. After we ate, I spent some time to comb Wei Ying's hair. Having the chance to pamper him was nice. I like that I can do this and he is okay with it.

"Lan Zhan, I love you," he said.

I smiled, "I love you too." I told him before cuddling up in bed for the night.

The next day, we scouted around the boundaries of the Burial Mounds. We wanted to see if there was anything outside of it that was a clue to finding Baoshan. I heard Wei Ying sigh as we continued to search.

"I do not know if we will find anything," he said.

Just after he said that, I saw a shimmering like effect in front of us, "Wei Ying, be careful," I said, "there is a barrier there."

Wei Ying took a closer look at what I saw. The barrier was between two large trees. We were able to walk behind the barrier and saw there was nothing it was blocking. So why is there just an invisible barrier here Wei Ying then took my hand before touching the barrier. I watched him infuse some spiritual energy into it and suddenly were were sucked inside.

We ended up in a dimly lit room. It was roughly the size of a small bedroom and there was a door to leave but it was locked. The place we came from where the barrier dropped us was also gone, so we were now stuck.

"Sorry," Wei Ying said.

"What for? You got us through the barrier," I told him.

"But we are now trapped," he said.

"It is alright," I said and used Bichen to give us some light. There were markings on the wall, "is this something?"

Wei Ying looked at it, "there is words here, opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another."

"It is about Yin and Yang," I said, "opposite or contrary forces. Yin is always known as negative while Yang is always known as a positive, but one cannot exist without the other."

"Almost like saying when two people are paired together that are completely opposite but they attract to each other. It is to say that sometimes they too, cannot handle things without the other," Wei Ying said, "almost like I do not like doing things without you anymore."

I couldn't help but smile, "as my soulmate and soul bond, we cannot exist now without the other. Remember?"

"I remember," he said, "still do not regret it."

"I do not regret it either," I told him, "you are my life, Wei Ying. It will not be of choice to ever leave you."

"I know," he said, "going back to this, since I am able to handle both energies, so I try to use them in some way?"

"Maybe, like the barrier, try putting some energy in the text on the wall," I suggested.

Wei Ying nodded and used some of his energy. The door in the room then opened. I placed a kiss on Wei Ying's cheek to reward him. Hearing him giggle was music to my ears. He then took my hand and we left the dark room; only to be in a new room. The only thing in this room was a bed. The room was actually pretty bright, the walls were white and there was lights on.

"Huh?" Wei Ying asked, "Why a bed?"

"I do not know," I said.

I do not know what happened but I then began to feel warm and my body felt strange. I looked at Wei Ying and he too, looked a bit uncomfortable.

"Why am I so hot?" He asked.

"Lust," I said quietly, "there must be aphrodisiac within the air. All I want is to take you."

"Then take me," he said.

"I don't know if that is what we should do though," I said, "I love you and we had some fun in the past but why are we feeling aroused now?"

Wei Ying sat down on the bed, "I do not know. I cannot think, my body is so over sensitive."

I knew how he felt. I was so painfully erect at the moment. The only reason I am keeping my restraint is because I feel their is something wrong with this room. I called out my guqin and played Cleansing. Surprisingly the aphrodisiac within the air disappeared and my arousal went down. Wei Ying looked better as well.

"Good thinking," he said.

"Are you tired?" I asked.

He nodded, "do you think it's safe to rest?"

I laid down beside him, "we can rest for a while. I am a light sleeper, so you are safe."

"We can play some other time right?" He asked.

I smirked, "we can."

He giggled as he snuggled close to me. I placed a kiss on the top of his head before we relaxed and slept for a while.
