_____________

After spending a couple days alone together, Wei Ying and I had to go back to work. This war wasn't over and we will not get anywhere if we stay hidden. Wen Ruohan has several supervising offices along the way to Qishan. A small number of us went ahead to clear the path. Wei Ying and I were apart of that group.

As he had more of a handle on his abilities, he played his Chenqing, causing the corpses against us, to begin fighting each other instead of us. I was now understanding my role as his soul-bond. After each battle, we would set up camp in a safe location. I would take Wei Ying to our tent and place a privacy barrier over it before I helped him. The best way for us to help clear out the extra resentment was through dual cultivation. My energy alone helped rid of the resentment as resentful energy did not like such strong Yang energy.

After we had a few rounds, I would prepare a hot bath. As we soaked in the warmth, I helped Wei Ying by giving him a massage. After the bath, I would continue massaging his arms, shoulders and legs. I loved pampering him to this extent. He deserves it after all. Using resentment, as I have observed, takes a lot of energy out of him. So I am always happy to help him relax.

At the moment, he was laying on his stomach with me straddling his waist and massaging his back, "Lan Zhan?" He asked.

"Hmm?"

"After this campaign is done, I have this feeling that others will question my use of resentment. We are immortal but I just have this gut feeling," Wei Ying said.

"No matter what, we are in this together now. I will not let anyone take you away from me," I told him.

Wei Ying rolled to his back underneath me, "what would I do without you?" He said.

I leaned down, "you probably can't at this point," I said as my lips brushed against his.

"I love you, Zhiji, (know oneself / to be intimate or close / intimate friend / Soulmate)," he said.

"I love you too," I said and kissed him.

I felt light headed as the kiss increased intensity. My lips opened wider as our tongues caressed each other. This was heaven. I felt feverish and shaky and was getting aroused. I never wanted it to end and I wanted more. Wei Ying tilted his head as I moved to kiss at his neck. Wei Ying found himself tilting his head up a bit to achieve maximum lip contact.

I grabbed his hands one by one at the wrist and pinned them above his head. He made a noise at this, a little growl, interested and interrogative, as I ground against him, his cock harder now, mine fully hard. I smirked as I pulled my head back and kept my face just centimeters away from his. I kept teasing him. Anytime he tried to kiss me, I was pull my head back. I held his wrists with one hand as I opened his robes. I then pushed my hips forward again, causing a moan to leave his mouth.

I lowered my face but dodged his kiss again, teasing him, and instead kissed his collarbone, first one side and then the other, and then the inside of his arm, just below the elbow, where I knew he was ticklish, and then I licked the pit of his arm, slowly, because I loved the taste of him, first the right and then the left, and he growled again.

He was harder now, he pressed his hips harder against mine, but I lifted myself off him, beyond his reach. He moaned in frustration, he tried to pull his hands free but I held them firm. Then I leaned down fast and captured his lips. I put my tongue in his mouth and he sucked at it hard, tasting me but tasting himself, too, that was what he loved, the taste of himself in my mouth.

He made a noise of complaint but kept his arms where I had left them, still playing our little game. After removing his trousers, he jerked a little when I kissed the inside of his thighs, he was sensitive there, too, but he didn't try to stop me, he was being good, he let me do what I wanted.

As we were lost in each other's embrace, despite the privacy barrier, we heard a people coming. I pulled away and helped Wei Ying get his robes back on before I went to go check who it was. Wei Ying groaned and poured a little as we were interrupted but I assured him we can continue after our guests leave. It was my brother and Chifeng Zun.

"Huan-Ge, Sect Leader Nie," I greeted.

"Now now, just call me Da-Ge," Chifeng zun said.

"Alright, Da-Ge," I said as I sat with Wei Ying, "what can we do for you?"

"There was a small group meeting just now with the sect leaders," Brother said, "it has been voted that both of you are to have honored titles for your hard work so far in this campaign. As Da-Ge was also selected as the new Xiandu, he wanted to be the one to tell you."

"Really?" Wei Ying asked sitting up.

"Yes, you two have worked hard," Chifeng Zun said, "Wangji, will be titled as Hanguang Jun, he who bears light. And you, Wei Wuxian have been titled as Xingsheng Jun, as you have brought new life perspectives, flourished and thrived, brought prosperity and advantages, and a wonderful strategist. You have both earned your titles."

"Thank you," we said together.

I then looked at Wei Ying, "still worried?" I asked.

"I am not sure anymore," he said.

"Is something wrong?" Brother asked.

"Wei Ying is worried that after the war is over, people will be questioning his methods," I answered, "he is immortal and the master of Yin and Yang. He is supposed to be able to use both energies."

"We can explain that to them then, we will not let anyone try to walk all over you like that," Chifeng Zun said.

"Thank you," Wei Ying said, "can I call you Da-Ge?"

"Of course, you are married to Wangji, and Wangji is Xichen's brother. Xichen is my sworn brother which makes you both my brothers as well," Chifeng Zun told us.

"Thank you," Wei Ying said.

"Alright, I want you both to rest. We head to Nightless City in the morning," Brother said.

We nodded and watched them leave. I then turned to Wei Ying, "let's get ready for bed."

He nodded and did just that. By morning, we were both ready to go. We entered the strategist tent with the sect leaders, heirs, and head disciples to talk about our next course of action.
