I never met anyone who I would use to define the words beauty and adorable until I met him. I never met anyone I would use to define the word pure until I met him. I also never anyone who I would use to define the words cunning and mischievous. Using all of those words, and potentially more, I would use to define him.

Who is this "him" I am referring to?

He was that same little boy I met when I was five. I met him again outside the gate of Cloud Recesses. He was the head disciple of the Yunmeng Jiang Sect, Wei Ying, Wei Wuxian.

Wei Ying...

His name is Wei Ying.

He was that little boy on the streets. He has the same smile, same silver eyes, and he also has the same cute little mole under his lip. This man was tall and slender. He had a smile that was melting the ice that encased my heart over the years. When he smiled wide, he showed his white teeth, with the two in the front, similar to those of a rabbit. His skin was fair and looked soft to the touch. And His face...Oh boy his face...ethereal is once word I could use. It was like an oval, but his jawline and cheekbones were precise and fine.

I was arriving from a night hunt when I saw him with the two Jiang heirs at the front gate. Apparently they had lost their invitation along the way between Caiyi Town and here at the gate. I wanted to let them through, but I had to speak to Xiongzhang first. They had no invitation, so it was hard to enter without it. I don't want them to stand out here and wait but they have no choice but to.

"Lan-er-Gongzi, are you being a bit rigid?" The man named Wei Ying said to me.

'Rigid? I'll show you rigid.'

"No invitation, no entry," I told him monotoned and straight faced.

"Lan-er-Gongzi, we really didn't mean to lose our invitation, isn't there anything we or you can do?" Wei Ying asked.

"Go back-track and find it," I told him. It would also give me time to speak with Xiongzhang.

"But it's getting later and later, and town is like, twenty minutes away," Wei Ying complained.

I really didn't want to hear it any longer, so I turned around and walked away, using the silencing spell on him as I left. Once I reached the courtyard, I stopped for a moment to refocus my breathing. Wei Ying smells like lotus flowers, just like my mother's fragrance. Why must he have something to have in common with her?

"Wangji?" Xiongzhang called as he saw me standing in the middle of the courtyard, "what is it?"

"Overwhelmed," I answered.

"I noticed, that was why I asked," he told him.

"A small is waiting outside the gate claiming to be from the Yunmeng Jiang Sect, but they apparently lost their invitation on the way here. I thought I'd come speak with you about it," I told him.

"Let's go back to the gate to see if they are still there, I will make an exception for them if they are the Jiang Clan. I know who they are so with my approval they can enter," he said.

I nodded and followed him back to the main gate. When we got there, the Jiang's were still there but one was gone...Wei Ying actually went to backtrack to find the invitation.

"We will allow you to come inside," Xiongzhang said to them.

"Thank you, but Sect Leader Jiang, my Shidi, Wei Wuxian left back for town to try and find the invitation. Will he have to wait here all night if he gets back late?" Young Lady Jiang asked.

"I can look out for him," I said, "if he comes after curfew, can we allow it just this once?"

"I suppose so, he was kind enough to go all the way back," Xiongzhang stated.
