It has been some time since I posted chapters for this book. I went back to read through it just to give me reminders of what I wrote. If there are sudden changes that seemed to have shifted quite a bit I do apologize in advance. I am doing what I can to make sure this story continues as well as makes sense. If I wrote something in past chapters and it suddenly changed I hope it is still okay. Thank you for reading as well.

______________Since Wei Ying always had a hard time meditating, I taught him some techniques to help him. He seems to have listened quite well as he was deep in his meditation for almost two hours. Wei Ying needed it as he was healing from the Zixuan scars. It still appalls me that Yu Ziyuan could be so mean and abusive. I even questioned why she would hate Wei Ying so much. Yu Ziyuan married Jiang Fengmian, why did she not believe in his intentions towards her. I guess I do not know her and Jiang Fengmian's entire backstory. I know Wei Ying's father used to live here in Lotus Pier, and was Jiang Fengmian's subordinate. He left Lotus Pier when he married Wei Ying's mother, but I feel like there was more to that story.
As Wei Ying was meditating, I couldn't help but stare. He had those eyes that displayed playfulness but innocence. Anytime I looked into them, it was like looking into a pool silver with a hint of a lavender hue. Just under his eyes was his pristine cheekbones. They were a defining characteristic of his look...along with his smile and adorable bunny teeth. His smile helped melt the ice off my heart. He must have sensed me staring because when I moved from his lips to his eyes, they were staring right back at me. I then watched his lips curve into that cunning mischievous smile. It was a smile that he would make if he had an urge to tease me.
"Am I that good looking that you can't stop staring?" Wei Ying asked.
I blinked a couple times before answering, "yes."
Wei Ying giggled silently, "you can stare at me all you want, but I get to stare at you in return."
"I have no objections," I said.
"Of course not," He said. I was going to make another comment but was interrupted by a knock from my brother, "come in," Wei Ying says.
"Hello boys," Brother said, "what are you two up to?"
"I've been meditating for a couple hours to help me heal...Lan Zhan has been shamelessly staring at me the whole time," Wei Ying said.
"Not the whole time, I just didn't meditate as long as you did," I said, "and I feel no remorse for staring at my soulmate."
"Oooh, Lan Zhan has some sass," Wei Ying said, "where did that come from."
"He has been known for being sassy," Brother said, "especially before our...mother passed."
Wei Ying looked at me, "is that so?"
"I am again, not apologizing for my actions," Wangji said, "especially because it effects my happiness."
"If staring at me makes you happy, I will not stop you," Wuxian said.
"I see you two are getting along nicely," Brother said.
"Mnn," I nodded.
"How is your back?" Brother asked Wei Ying.
"It's healing pretty nicely," Wei Ying said, "thanks to Lan Zhan's guidance and persistence."
Brother smiled, "he cares about you."
Wei Ying nodded, "having someone to depend on is new for me...I am not used to so much persistence."
I didn't like hearing him say that, "your Shijie?" I asked.
"I think with her, it is a bit different," Wei Ying answered, "it's harder for me to open up to her because I do not want her to worry."
"I think she will worry either way," Brother said, "she is even learning to cultivate to help you out more."
"She should not be cultivating for my sake but for hers. It should be for her choice and happiness. I don't think she should feel like she has to. I remember she never liked the idea to cultivate because Madam Yu put such high expectations on her," Wei Ying said.
"You are making her a fan," I said, "she seems to like that idea, and she now uses Zidian."
Wei Ying nodded.
"Well, I came here to check on you both, as you two are hardly out," Brother said.
"I told Lan Zhan he can go roam about but he refuses to leave me alone for a while," Wei Ying said.
"It's not that I do not want to leave you alone, I would just rather you show me around, but you are still recovering," I said, "did you want to go walk around?"
"It would be nice," Wei Ying said.
"Let's go then," I said standing and held out my hand for him to take.
Wei Ying looked at my hand as if he was hesitating for a moment but then a smile appeared on his face as he grabbed it, "did your brother want to tag along?" He asked.
I looked at Xiongzhang, "would you like to walk with us?"
"Sure," he said, "someone has to keep you two out of trouble."
Wei Ying scoffed, "you make it sound like Lan Zhan and I are kids and you are the adult watching over us."
"Might as well be," Brother said.
Wei Ying giggled as we left his room. As we walked around Lotus Pier, he seemed to be okay moving around. The scars on his back have scabbed over so he would just need to be careful.
