•Unexpected Tragedy•As we swam further i couldn't help but wonder what Lo'ak was think about during the meeting, there was definitely something on his mind, and i was afraid he'd try to fix it himself. i looked over at Tsireya a worried look on her face. i had to stay strong for her sake, i didn't want to let anyone else down, especially my baby sister.
I heard faint voices yelling from a distance, not really paying much attention to it. as we got closer i noticed the voices sounded familiar. looking over i saw Lo'ak and Neteyam on the Ilu dock arguing about something. "Tsireya" i called for her, she looked over at me confused then followed my gaze towards the two forest boys. "come on" she said taking the lead, we rode our ilu over to dock.
"Neteyam!" i yelled out so he could hear me, he looked over at us coming their way. Tsireya called out for Lo'ak as he jumped in to water, and onto his Ilu, We all hopped onto the dock trying to stop the forest boy. I turned my attention towards Neteyam, an angry frown imprinted on his face "Come on, he's going to Payakan" he said tapping Ao'nung's chest.
Neteyam called for his Ilu, all of us following behind him. calling for Turu i jumped into the cold water once again. Tsireya, Rotxo and Ao'nung right behind me.
i looked ahead and noticed how far Lo'ak was from us, riding a little farther ahead we saw Kiri and Tuk on an Ilu together calling out for Lo'ak. "come on, Lo'aks going to find Payakan" I said to the two confused girls, they immediately followed behind us diving into the water.
The water was cool against my skin my nerves were at there highest peek, and my arms were aching from all this swimming. i could hear Lo'ak yelling for Payakan, knowing we were close i started yelling for the boy to get his attention. Payakan jumped from out of the water squealing loudly in distress and discomfort.
Emerging from the water i looked ahead and noticed a ship coming our way. Neteyam jumped on to Payakan and turned to help Ao'nung up "uhh guys that can't be good" i said in a panicked tone, climbing onto Payakan after Tsireya. "bro, come on help me out the ships coming!" Lo'ak said to Neteyam as he struggled to pull the harpoon out.
Ao'nung bent down to help the two forest boys pull the sharp object out of Payakan "Hurry its getting closer!" i shouted down at the three boys. Neteyam started telling Lo'ak to call for their father and let him know what was happening. Lo'ak stood up on Payakan looking out towards the ship.
I looked over at him before turning to help to others pull the harpoon out. "dad.. i mean, devil dog. do you read me" Lo'ak said to his father through his ear piece. "we are with a Tulkun who is under attack" he continued. "who's with you" Jake asked his youngest son.
"It's all of us, Ao'nung, Tsireya, & Y/n too, were at Three Brothers Rocks" I looked back at Lo'ak as he continued talking to his father, the ship was getting closer and we still were struggling to pull the harpoon out.
"its getting closer" Tsireya yelled out. "3, 2, pull" Rotxo and Neteyam strained out, I groaned loudly as I pulled with all my strength.
My arms were aching, my heart was racing, and I was scared to death, but I kept pulling. Neteyam got on his Ilu and called out to Ao'nung, he threw him a rope and attached it to his Ilu as we tied it to the harpoon. Neteyam started moving forward as we all continued to pull and tug at the beeping tracker.
