•The Funeral•~Present Tense~
(Earlier in the morning)I gasped loudly, my eyes shooting open as my body jolted up, my heart pounded against chest with a strong force, causing my head to ache. My breathing was heavy and my eyes were wide as my mind replayed nightmare that haunted my dreams last night.
My hand was placed over my chest because my heart was beating so hard, I could hear it in my ears. I was confused to say the least, I woke up expecting an answer but I don't understand. This dream that I had ended before I can finish it. I don't know how it ends or what happens next, but I do know that theres a meaning behind it.
"I don't understand... Why are you showing me this?" I whispered out, talking to Eywa. My voice cracked lowly. I placed my head on my knees that I brought up to my chest and sighed exhaustedly as I thought about it more.
After some time I heard a knock on the wall "Y/n, I have your things ready, I can style your hair when you're done" my mother said quietly, leaving some accessories on a bench near me, walking away shortly after.
I stood up slowly, walking towards the small pile of long/short beaded and shelled chains for around your neck, feet and head. There was also a beautiful dark brown leather threaded body chain with shells.
In all honesty, I could care less for any of these things, but here it was tradition for the son or daughter of Olo'eyktan to dress in a certain attire when someone 'he/she' was close to passes. (basically if they were Friends, Family, or Mates/destined to be)
honestly I still haven't told my parents about Neteyam and I, since that was something we were supposed to do together.
As I continued looking through the items I noticed a familiar arm band that sat on top of a large necklace.
I let out a shaking breath as I picked it up and read the initial that was imprinted on the inside. I closed my eyes and spun it around my fingers letting the leather pattern glide against my fingertips, bringing me a short wave of happiness.
But the moment ended quickly the minute my eyes opened, I was set back to reality.
*In case i you have no idea what im talking about*
I grabbed all the items and placed them next to a chest that contained all my loincloths. squatting down, I opened the chest and dug through it until I found my dark aqua bluish-greenish loincloth and a long white traditional arm sleeve.
