"Y/n, what is in that extremely clunky looking bag?"

"It's my go-bag of all of the electronics I need. This is my first mission and I want to be prepared!"

"This thing weighs 100 lbs!"

"It does not! It weighs 35 lbs actually, way to be dramatic. I know you're small but I figured you would be stronger than– Ouch!"

Shoving your bag into your chest, Natasha throws a small slap against the back of your head. "We haven't even left yet and you're already annoying me. Don't make me regret my decision."

Rubbing the back of your head dramatically, you grab your other duffle bag that actually has your clothes in it. Natasha didn't tell you really anything at all about the mission except that you'll be gone for about a week in the Hamptons and that you're coming along because she needed a 'computer person', whatever that means. Since she lacked the ability to provide context, you wanted to make sure you had whatever you may need to help her with the mission. That means you packed the works! Tucked away in your bag is one of your higher grade laptops, two computer screens that you shrunk down using pym technology (perks of being on Hank's good side), a mini Buddy, various items needed to get you access into databases you shouldn't be able to break into, and the USB device Fury had sent over to you in order to review. Oh, and a nintendo switch... you know, just in case you get bored.

"You never even told me what this mission is about. All the information I had to go off of was that you needed me around because I am good with technology. So this is what you get, me with a backpack full of technology ready to be used for essentially any situation you decide to put me in."

Natasha flings her backpack over her shoulder and picks up her own duffle bag before leading you out of the kitchen and down to the garage. Once inside the elevator she hands you a file but doesn't say anything, letting you read through it on your own.

Mission Details - November 6th, 2022

Target: Norman Osborn

Background:

Family - Widower, previously married to Emily Lyman. Son, Harold Osborn (age 16).

Occupation - Current CEO of Oscorp as previous CEO was recently arrested for embezzlement.

Incident - A few months after suddenly becoming CEO, Osborn was hospitalized with extensive wounds from an explosion. The cause of the explosion is still unknown to this day. The only details on the incident include that it occurred in his home lab and no other individuals were present at the time of the blast.

Source: Intel from informants within multiple local gangs in NYC have pointed fingers at instructions from 'higher ups' coming from a new high level individual in the city. This new individual has a super-powered partner doing their dirty work. These sources are however, unconfirmed currently and lack much detail.

Assignment: Gather information on Norman Osborn's purpose in the Hamptons and any connection that may exist between him and rumors that he may be involved with NYC gangs.

Stepping out of the elevator you close the file, mulling over what you just read in silence. Throwing your bags in the trunk you take your spot in the passenger seat before turning to Natasha.

"I know this guy... well like, I know of him. He has a reputation in the science community. Oscorp used to be the mecha of chemical manufacturing but once the embezzlement case against Stromm came out the organization sort of lost its thunder. They have been slowly falling behind and it's been made clear through various networks that Norman hasn't exactly been the perfect replacement CEO. From what I've heard, he has let somewhat rather unusual contracts and experiments take precedence over their usual caseload. But even with those rumors, he doesn't seem like the type of guy who would even have the desire or access of getting in contact with gangs or supervillain type of people. He always has been adamant of keeping his work out of the hands of those that want to cause harm."
