I can here Peeta starting to stir as the sun comes up, it is rare that he is up before noon these days.

His warm embrace feels foreign against me, it must have been a week since I'd felt it.

"Hey sweetie", he mumbles against my neck, a warm feeling rushes through me like his kiss has set me alight.

I twist in his arms, Turning to face him and catching a slight smile on his face, another thing that I've been missing for so long.

He takes my hand and leads me to the door, pulling my coat on as he slips into his boots, adjusting the strap on his leg before we step outside.

The sun glints against the dew covered grass, heat radiating all around, what a beautiful day.

"Where are we going Peeta?" I ask, still gripping his hand as we walk.

"I think we need to get out of the house more", this gives me no answers.

We climb through the ever expanding hole in the chain link fence at the entrance of the woods, since the revolution no one really cares about the woods, your can walk and return. At your free will.

"Have you made your choice Katniss? Is it me you want to be with?", his voice sounds tight and he starts again before I can even open my mouth. "Because like he said, I'm broken, there's no way I can protect you, you know I need you more than my life but I'm no comparison to him, you know that", he's starting to get a catch in his voice.

"If I didn't want you, I wouldn't have fought for you. When the mutts took you from me, that was my chance to leave you, pursue a life with Gale if I wanted but all I wanted was you, your my everything now.." I trail off hooking my arms around his neck. "I need you".

I close my eyes and I can feel a pressure against my lips, is he really kissing me? My eyes open slightly and yes, he is.

I draw him in closer to me, his back arches slightly as I stroke his spine with the tips of my fingers, at this point we are both resting against a large slightly sideways oak tree.

The kissing only stops when I whisper his name, "Peeta... I miss this", his large eyes looking directly into mine, "me too, I want you".

The words I have longed to hear for such a long time, his breathing gave it straight away but I needed the confirmation before I would act on my impulses.

Pulling him by the hand we make our way towards the familiar spot just a small walk away, the water glints with a almost green tint as the sun hits it, the flowers in the bed around all seem to have come out and cover the greenery with small spots of colour, I had always wanted to bring him here, to the spot me and my father enjoyed to swim I'm so dearly but I had never found the right time, today feels right.

Peeta stands, still gazing at the sight as I slowly undress.

The thin grey shirt I have on easily slips over my head, as it slides over my eyes I see his attention has been diverted directly to me, this should be fun.

Unbuckling my belt I let the baggy pants slip from my hips, down toward my ankles, bending slightly to leave them in a green pile on the floor.

I've never seen the look Peeta is displaying, his cheeks red like cherries, his jaw clenched and eyes darting up and down at me and I stand before him, this makes me blush slightly but I soon regain my newfound confidence and walk towards him before unbuttoning his dark top and pulling it to the ground, he started at the buttons on his shorts before I could, leaving just black underpants covering his modesty.

There's a short pause and I jump, covered only by my underwear into the pool.
