Tommy and Nick's apartment...

Catarina's eyes shot open. Head popped up. She swore.

Scrambling off the bed, swore again.

Sheet-wrapped, she poked her head out the bedroom door.

Empty.

She peeked into the next room.

Empty.

She swore.

"Those useless boys!" It was nearly noon. she knew not going home was a bad idea. Sure it had been late, and she was exhausted, but come on! "They think they're so funny!"

She rushed.

"I swear! This is the last time I—!" the door opened as she reached for the handle. "Tommy!"

He chuckled at the sight of her.

"This isn't funny!" she punched his arm. "I missed my morning shift!"

"I must say, Cat." he circled round, "You're just full of surprises." chuckle. "Last night— hoo-hoo!!"

Blush. "Oh hush, you!" she stormed out the door.

Tommy popped his head out, "Hey, wait! Where you going? Don't be sore, Kitty-Cat. Lots of macks enjoy that kinda thing!"

"Oh hush! I'm going to see Anet!"

"Hold up! I'll come with you!"

The Daisy-Chain...

"Nick! That Luigi guy is giving me the creepy smiles again."

Nick chuckled, "He's a harmless old goat."

"Yeah? Well he just pinched my butt twice already."

"You wanted this job." he laughed.

"Yes, but I have an allergy to old men being creepy."

Nick set down his glass. "Okay." he leaned his hip against the bar. "You want my help so he knows to keep his crinkly, old paws to himself for good?"

"Well don't kill him."

He laughed. "Alright, then I'm left with only one alternative. "

"Do it," she glanced back at old Luigi eyeing her rear, practically licking his chops. "Now before he decides he'll go for a handful next."

"Just remember, you asked for my help."
He grabbed her hips. Pulled her to him. His lips pressing firm against hers. He could feel her body begin to protest, then pause. Her lips began to move with his as she caught on.

The patrons at the bar threw a few cheers and whistles.

He almost didn't let go -but he did. He licked his lips, smiling. Winked. Then turned to Luigi, exchanging a few Italian phrases and knowing laughs.

"What'd you two say?"

"Don't worry bout it." Wink. He leaned against the back counter. "So..." arms crossed. "How was that for you, Brownie?"

She laughed. Leaned back next to him. "You do know what you're doing, I'll give you that. I'd refer you to a friend." wink.

"Won't lie, Brownie, but I've often wondered what it'd be like to lay one on you."

"Yeah, and?"

"I've never been more envious of Tommy."

She looked down, laughed. "I don't know why you'd say that. We're not an item. It's been years, and he's with Cat now."
