Later that night, Jake was getting ready to sleep for the night. It was a long day for him for his first day of school, but since he got to make a new friend in April, he was happy about it.

"April is such a cool person." Jake said to himself. "She's kind and bright and. . . beautiful."

Jake suddenly caught himself as he shook his head at the thought. "What am I saying? I can't grow too attached to her." He said to himself. "I'm not gonna risk being heartbroken for the second time."

He then went back to the conversation he had with April and sighed. "Although. . . she doesn't seem like the heartbreaker type." He said to himself. "But still. . . I need to keep these feelings locked away. I can't risk it anymore."

Not wanting to think about it anymore, Jake just got into bed and shut off the light. "I shouldn't think too much of it." Jake said. "I should just. . . get some shuteye."

With that said, Jake lay in his bed for a while until he eventually drifted off into a deep sleep.

And as he was sleeping, he began to have a very strange dream. . .

Jake's Dream. . .

A long time ago, in a city known as Transylvania, there was a young man running from what appeared to be an angry mob. He had jet black hair, deep red eyes, and was wearing a black leather jacket, black pants, and black shoes with pointed toes. His name is Vladimir Moon. And he is actually a vampire. But not just any vampire. He was actually THE Vampire Prince of Transylvania.

He was really popular with the press, but not in the way you'd think. You see, he lived in a village where humans and vampires lived together. But of course, the humans didn't like that and eventually they decided to retaliate by killing most of the vampire community. While most of them were able to escape, Vlad was the last one to even think of leaving. But he was taking his chance now as he was being chased by a group of angry hunters.

"Find that freak and bring back his head!" The lead hunter said angrily. "No more shall vampires terrorize our lovely village!"

"You terrorized us first." Vlad said to himself as he was hiding in between two houses.

Vlad then jumped out of his hiding spot as he thought the coast was clear. But unfortunately, it only led him into more trouble.

"There he is!" One of the hunters yelled out. "It's the vampire prince!"

"Oh, he'll make us super rich once we bring him in!" The leader said with a proud smirk. "Get him, men!"

"Ah, rats!" Vlad said as he began to keep running away from the horde of hunters.

"You won't get away this time, freak!" The leader said as they all continued to chase Vlad.

Vlad ducked and dodged all over as the angry mob of hunters constantly shot at him.

Eventually, the leader got a good aim on Vlad as he shot a tranquilizer dart right at him as it shot right the back of Vlad's right calf.

"Gah!" Vlad screamed as he began to stumble forward as he tried to keep his balance.

But after a while, he began to grow weaker as the tranquilizer began to take effect as Vlad slowed down significantly before collapsing on the ground.

"Yes! Gotcha, freak!" The leader said triumphantly as he walked over to the fallen vampire prince and tied him up so he couldn't run off if he woke up.

"Take him back to the dungeon." The leader said. "I'll have the mayor stop by with the government to take his ass away to a safer place."

As he gave those orders, his crew went up to take away Vlad and put him in the back of their hunting vehicle.

As they were putting him away, a young teenage girl with black hair, and wearing a red dress and black flats walked up to him. Her name is Jessica Hunter. She was the granddaughter of the lead hunter.

"Grandpa. . . is this really okay?" Jessica asked. "I mean. . . we've already killed this poor guy's whole family. Show some sympathy!"

"I'm sorry, Jessie." The leader said seriously. "But it's our duty as hunters to eliminate every freak we see."

"But. . . this isn't right!" Jessica said.

"Know your place, Jessie!" The leader said in an angry voice. "And go back home. You have no place in the hunting world."

As he said that, The hunters brought Vlad to the dungeon, while Jessica was left to think about all of this and how wrong it was.

"No. . . I can't let them kill him." Jessica said as she rushed to follow behind the hunters. "I'll. . . I'll save him."

End of dream. . .

Jake suddenly woke up with a gasp. What was that dream just now? And why did he have it?

"What the heck was that?" Jake asked himself. "Was that. . . it was a vampire? But. . . vampires aren't real, right?"

Jake then looked outside at the stars and shrugged. "It's probably nothing." Jake said. "Just a weird dream. But. . . why did I have that dream? Is it trying to tell me something that I should know?"
