Ruined morning, part three.

"HERE'S THE KEY TO THE HOUSE."
Mrs. Allen handed them one key with a heart-shaped keychain attached to the key "I'll wait for you here, I suppose this will not take past midnight." She added "And tea will be ready once you come back." Midway through the conversation earlier, Mrs. Allen had offered tea for the second time.

"Thank you, madam." Lockwood smiled as he handed the key to Greer, "Good luck then." Mrs. Allen smiled as she walked them towards the door.

"Let's just be done with this and go home," Greer asked as she walked away from the house, Lockwood following behind her. It's a chilly night, and it's getting dangerous. All the houses they passed had their lights out.

"You're shivering." Lockwood mentioned "Obviously." Greer responds "Should have brought your coat." He teased, "I forgot okay?" She's already pissed enough that she forgot to bring her coat; Lockwood doesn't have to remind her.

They saw the house that Mrs. Allen described, it was four houses away from where Allens was staying at this moment.

The house is a simple one-story house, the exterior is a very warm and old-fashioned traditional house. By the looks of it, it's obvious it's been here for a very long time, maybe even before the problem started.

"Key?" Greer hands him the key chain before embracing herself "Ready?" Lockwood asked, hands on the doorknob, ready to turn it "Ready." She smiled though she was not happy with the temperature outside. She could have brought her favorite coat but she chose not to. "Flashlight?" Greer raised the flashlight on Lockwood's face before he gave her a nod and pushed the door open.

She couldn't see anything, so she turned on the flashlight and flashed the flashlight on the inside, The moment they stepped foot at the house, Lockwood spoke. "The temperature is already low, whoever is bothering this place is probably near."

Inside was a big enough foyer to fit enough people, twelve by Greer's guess. On each side of the room were two doors that were opened, one that led into the living and one into the dining room.

The house has a warm vibe but not a warm temperature, it's freezing inside. the wall is nicely painted in a white-cream and it's decorated with plenty of pictures of the Allens family.

"feel anything?" She's glad he asked, "Weakness." Greer informed him, "Type one, maybe?" He guessed "Don't say that, people who said that die." Greer said, her eyes still completely shut, trying to open her mind.

"I heard crying and screaming, very faint." Greer reported back to Lockwood, "Are you sure?" Lockwood asked. Greer rolled her eyes in annoyance "Yes, A hundred percent." Greer said.

The two of them crept towards the living room when Lockwood stopped on his track, Greer after him. "two death glows, not too bright."

"Where?" Greer asked, Lockwood, tilted his head where he saw the death glow "Just ahead of us, in the living room." Lockwood said.

"I wonder what happened here." Greer furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, she wondered why he was confused since George researched this house "Did you not read George's research?" Lockwood didn't answer as Greer scoffed at him. "You're unbelievable." She rolled her eyes at him before dropping her bag to the ground recklessly that it made a loud thud.

"Hold this." She handed the flashlight to Lockwood before kneeling to the ground, searching for something in her bag "George's research said a family had lived here before the Allens, then the mother and her daughter went missing. The husband is still alive. Mrs. Allen's kids started hearing muffled footsteps a few days ago and saw some shades all over the house a few times after they moved in, other than that, they don't bother them. Well, this doesn't say what happened after the people disappeared." Greer read out loud.
