You never asked, part oneGREER FIRST MET Lockwood by the river when she saved the poor boy from falling into the river to his death.
Celia and Donald couldn't thank her enough and, being the generous and kind people they are, they let the orphan girl into their house. Lockwood's sister, gladly took her into her room so they could be roommates but the couple insisted she sleeps with Lockwood because they are the same age.
Lockwood simply doesn't like Greer. For only one specific reason— he hated the fact that his parent's attention was on her, too.
Donald and Celia loved Greer as their own and they couldn't simply let the girl go back where she came from.
But, the world was too cruel for them, before Donald and Celia officially adopted Greer, they were in a fatal accident, causing both of them to die young and leaving their children orphan at a young age.
After another tragedy had hit Greer and Lockwood years after Celia and Donald's death, all they've got is each other before another such cruel thing happened to the both of them.
They were separated, Lockwood all alone in 35 Portland Row and Greer back to somewhere she could barely call home.
Greer couldn't speak to anyone when she was there, she was forbidden to and it's because they locked her to her room, alone and with no one else to talk to.
Until, one day, someone came. A boy and he helped her to escape. After she escapes, she finds Lockwood and the comfort his arm has brought to her.
When Lockwood saw her again, he knew she was broken, too broken and he tried the best way he could to fix her and protect her from her unspeakable childhood trauma.
And gladly, he succeed because Greer came back to him and he'll never let anything take her away from him again.
"I should catch you guys up on my bickerstaff research," George said,
"Sounds very exciting." Greer chirped, clasping her hand tightly in front of her. For someone who has been cut last night, she is extremely energetic and happy."What happened to the window?" Lockwood asked after inspecting the broken window that had been wrapped in a tape by George "Oh, a bird flew into it." George smiled cheekily.
Lockwood settled on his seat, while George cannot wait to tell them what he knows so the moment Lockwood sat, he opened his mouth again, "So it turns out he was a highly respected clinician, psychiatrist, a pioneer of new techniques." George wasted no more time.
"He held secret gatherings in his house in Hampstead and they would have remained secret, too, if it wasn't for Mary Dulac."
"Who's Mary Dulac?" Lockwood asked, full of questions, "She's a guest that went missing." Lucy said because she read George's paper, unlike Lockwood.
"I think I've heard and read about her back in the Valour Mansion." Greer shared, rethinking if she really did. Though she'd never been outside her room, the maid would sometimes accompany her to the library and let her read before forcing her to go back again before Elsie and Lincoln got mad.
"She vanished into thin air after attending one of his meetings." George filled in, so excited to tell them all his discovery while all of them tightly listened "But here's the weirdest thing, she turned up again ten years later out of the blue but, she'd gone completely mad."
"Because of the bone glass?" Lockwood asked, "That would make sense, wouldn't it?" Greer nodded, acting like she understood everything she said when she only understood half of it.
