Doubt thou the star, part two.

THE ENTIRE RIDE to Berkshire, Greer was fast asleep even though — in Lockwood's opinion — she had enough sleep last night. They had to take the train and not a cab like she and Lockwood did cause children's ticket is much cheaper.

As they make it up outside the train and to the other side of the station, Greer is probably still half-asleep.

"Wow, there's a lot of green," George said in amusement as Greer tried to catch up with them "Never been outside of London before, George?" Lockwood asked as they came down the stairs.

"I visit my gran in Sidcup," George replied, Greer laughed at the both of them. She and Lockwood were the ones who often argue but when it was George and Lockwood, it interest her so much cause Lockwood is sometimes too blind to see that George is being sarcastic "Sidcup is in London." Lockwood said, "Then you have your answer, Doesn't look like I've missed much."

"I can't believe we're going to Sir John Fairfax's house." Lockwood said, "You've got a real hard-on for him, haven't you?" Greer let out a laugh at what Lucy said "If you wanna put it like that." Lockwood said, the denial in his voice lingering.

"You okay, George?" Greer whispered to him when she saw he was a bit struggling with his bag "Yeah." George replied, though it doesn't seem to convince Greer, she let it go, and besides she cannot help him one-bit cause of her wounded shoulder.

"He's succeeded in everything he's tried." He must be bewitched, Greer thought to herself as she shook her head "Publishing, show business, he didn't even start smelting until he was in his thirties, now look at him."

"Hmm." Lucy hummed, not knowing what to reply to him "Try not to look so fangirling over him, would you?" Greer teased as she shakes her head. Lockwood rolled his eyes at her before continuing what he is saying "And he came from nothing too." Lockwood continued.

"Nah, he's old money and you have a massive house in central London." George stated "Well, mortgaged to the hilt, George. I'm practically a serf."

When they got outside of the station, they saw a woman and a red car behind her but no Fairfax.

"Welcome, I'm Ellie, Mr. Fairfax's assistant. This way, please." Ellie greeted "He's waiting in the hall." Ellie said before any of them could ask where John Fairfax might be and why she was the one who was there.

"Ow," Ellie whined which made them look at her, it isn't a concern but rather confusion "You okay?" Lockwood asked, Ellie nodded before replying "Old war wound." Greer raised her eyebrows at her 'cause she didn't expect Ellie to be an agent because she doesn't look like one "You were an agent?" Lucy asked what was on Greer's mind "Lots of Mr Fairfax's employees were." Ellie replied.

"He's a good man to know when your talents fade."

"Wouldn't say he's kind, but he understands when people need a second chance and he pays well, hop in." For some reason, Lockwood and Greer both glanced at each other "Must we ride in this old wreck?" George smiled before he hops in in the back seat with Lucy.

And before Greer could join Lucy and George in the backseat, Lockwood sat on the passenger "Oi, where am I going to seat?" Greer asked and Lockwood grinned at her before patting his lap.

Greer smacked him on the back of his head "Get the hell out, arsehole." Greer grunted as she crossed her arm on her chest, scowling at Lockwood.

Lockwood rolled his eyes before leaving the passenger seat and letting Greer in "arsehole." Greer muttered under her breath as she sat between George and Lucy. Lockwood hops in the car again before Ellie started the engine and drove off.
