Taehyung's knee kept bouncing up and down, it was nine pm and Bogum would be coming through the front door at any minute. Tonight was the night, it had to be, the brunette wouldn't be able to hold out any longer, he needed to tell his partner the truth.

The doors unlocked as Bogum came in.

"We need to talk" Taehyung deadpanned.

"I know" The other replied, taking off his coat.

Taehyung still wasn't sure whether they would be doing this in the kitchen/dining room or the living room but when Bogum rested his hands behind a chair, he understood they wouldn't be going anywhere.

"I've been going over this conversation in my head trying to choose whether I should give you a different answer so as to not hurt your feelings too much or if I should just be honest and I think that in the end, you're better off knowing everything"

"You still love him, don't you?"

"Actually, I think I've fallen in love with him for the first time" Saying it out loud felt like such a relieve, it was as if Taehyung could finally breathe again. "How did you know?"

"When you started coming to see me on set and the other things you did. It caught my attention because you always choose yourself, you'll always do what you want. When you broke up with Jungkook, you did it so you would feel better, so you wouldn't be scared, you didn't care about his feelings or his version of the facts, you didn't care about the politics there are to being in a relationship.

When we started dating you told me straight forward that you'd choose your career over me if it came to it, again, you didn't care. When the studio was hesitating between Heejin and that other actress, you let them know that you wanted Heejin. You didn't care if the other actress was better or deserved it more, you wanted Heejin, and you got her.

Now see, you only ever do things that are viewed as "correct" and "right" when you start feeling guilty. You let Jungkook be part of the group because you felt guilty about how you were as a teen, you invited Sejeong over to dinner with Eunwoo the first time because you felt guilty about that time he said he was interested in her and you hurt his feelings by saying she wasn't good enough of an actress to be with someone like him, and you started giving me more attention, even though you were always telling me I was the one who wasn't putting enough effort in our relationship when you realized your feelings for him"

Taehyung didn't know what to say, after three years together, Bogum really knew him well.

"I'm sorry... I never meant for things to turn out like this"

"I believe you"

"If you want to blame anyone, blame me, Jungkook never did anything. It was all me"

"Actually the one I blame is myself for imagining a life with someone who was never destined to be with me for more than a few years. When we met I could see your relationship with Jungkook wasn't over yet and I still pursued you and asked you to move in. I wanted to believe you were meant for me, I was being selfish. I shouldn't have"

"Bogum, you had no way of knowing Jungkook would ever come back in my life" Taehyung walked around the table and gently placed his hand on the other's arm.

"Yes, I did. You have to finish a chapter before you can start another and yours wasn't over yet"

The apartment fell silent for a moment, the only sound coming from the refrigerator next to them.

"I'm going to sleep at Eunwoo's tonight. What's your schedule for tomorrow?"

"Actually, I'm not filming until later at night so I can pack my things during the day and send them over to which ever hotel I'll be staying until I find an apartment"
