Taehyung and Jungkook had spent the next week at Jungkook's house whose address hadn't been leaked to the public yet. And for the next month Heejin had called a bunch of times but Taehyung hadn't picked up yet, he still needed time. He had finished shooting his drama two weeks ago, not long after there was a party to celebrate the end of the shoot, but Taehyung hadn't gone. The medias kept on speculating about his absence, thinking it might have been related to all the hate he had received online but the truth was, Taehyung couldn't face Heejin or even fake having fun in public.
Jungkook had done his best to cheer him up, but nothing was really working, Taehyung needed time.
Another month had gone by and tonight Taehyung was going to an award ceremony, this would be his first public appearance with Jungkook so when the two got out of the car to step onto the red carpet, all the cameras were on them. The amount of flashes were blinding but the pair held their head high and made their way to the center to pose a few times before entering the venue.
During the night, Taehyung greeted a lot of acquaintances and shook hands with many important people from the industry. At some point, his eyes met Bogum's and the two exchanged a polite nod without speaking to each other.
"Are you okay?" Jungkook asked and offered him a glass of champagne.
"Just peachy"
After more than an hour, the guests eventually took their seats as the ceremony finally began. Taehyung's movie didn't win any awards for the movie in itself but when the best actor role was announced, Taehyung was surprised to hear his name.
The cheers and applause took over the room as he got up to go accept his award. He joked about the cliché of not having prepared a speech and proceeded to thank his co-star Sejeong, his marvelous boyfriend Jungkook, as well as Bogum who had been a pillar of his acting career, having supported him from his early days.
Going back to his seat, Taehyung kissed Jungkook and held his hand. His heart was beating out of his chest and he could still feel himself trembling, never in a thousand years did he think he would ever win an award, even less this early in his career and with all the bad press that surrounded him.
"I'm proud of you, babe"
"I love you so much" Taehyung pressed his lips on Jungkook's cheek.
The rest of the night was boring but the adrenaline of having won an award had been enough to keep Taehyung pumped through it all. Unfortunately for Jungkook who hadn't won anything, the night was endless.
Finally Taehyung offered to go home, once he was done accepting congratulations from everybody. Sejeong and Eunwoo, who were officially dating had come to praise him and invite the two for dinner, Bogum had also came to congratulate the pair and Heejin who was also here had restrained from coming to see them. Taehyung appreciated the gesture and thought that it was probably time the two settled their differences, it had been three months and things couldn't stay like this forever.
A notification popped up on Taehyung's screen, it was reminder that the GuamHigh School reunion was in three days. He remembered Heejin being invited as well, that on top of everything else, felt like yet another sign that it was time they had a talk.
"Babe! I'm meeting Heejin at Stigma in fifteen minutes, I got to go!" Taehyung yelled by the door.
Loud thumps were heard as Jungkook ran to where his boyfriend was.
"I hope everything goes well between you two" He pecked his lips and smiled.
"I hope so too. Oh by the way, are we taking your car or my car to go down to Daegu?"
