Taehyung had been wrong to think he's parent would be angry to hear about his breakup or shocked to see Jungkook, ever since they had opened the door, Mr and Mrs. Kim had been over the moon to have the ravenette under their roof once more.
Guess I had forgotten how much they liked him.
Taehyung thought he'd have to give a thorough explanation to his parents about all the changes in his life but with only a few words, his mother made it clear that they were okay with his decisions.
"You're happy and healthy, that's all we can ask for. Besides, I'd never seen you looking so in love when you were with Bogum"
Taehyung smiled and squeezed his mother's hand, he had brought Bogum here once or twice when they were dating, his boyfriend always asked why they didn't come more often and Taehyung would blame it on their schedule or how time consuming those kind of trips were, but in reality, he never felt comfortable being with Bogum in front of his parents.
"So, when is the reunion?"
"Tomorrow night, dad"
"Oh, are you eating dinner with us tonight?" Mrs. Kim asked looking at Jungkook with big eyes.
"Not tonight, mom. We're meeting up with our friends but Sunday, I promise"
Taehyung could see his mother was disappointed and felt bad.
The couple stayed until six and had a few drinks and chips with the parents before going to check in the hotel and going to meet their friends. Their room had a queen size bed in the middle of the room, a rather tall wooden closet, a comfortable looking couch and a small desk with a television on it.
"This is nice" Taehyung put down his bags and went to snake his arms around Jungkook's waist, his forehead resting against the boy's wide back.
"I was so happy to see your parents again, I missed them" Jungkook rested his hands on top of his boyfriend's.
"I'm really glad we're back together, my mom was right, I've never been this happy"
Taehyung felt Jungkook turn around and looked up at him. His hand came to cup his face, his thumb softly grazing his skin. A soft pull on the back of his neck made him lean into Jungkook as their lips met in a slow, gentle kiss.
"We should get ready to go see the guys" Taehyung whispered when the kiss ended.
Jungkook nodded his head and the two went to shower and change before getting in the car, driving them to the agreed meetup.
Taehyung couldn't help but smile when he got out of the car and looked at the neon sign on top of the door of the bar they were facing. It was a bar where they had always wanted to come when they were in high school but never had the chance to go, Jungkook had left before they were all legal and they hadn't gone without him.
Holding his boyfriend by the hand, the brunette made his way inside the building, the lighting was varied in colors, there was a band playing music in the back and their were about five different seating areas. The boys all greeted each other and agreed to first have some drinks at those high tables and then go sit down when it would be time to eat.
It hadn't taken a minute for all of them to tease the "new" couple and especially Taehyung about getting back together. They each told the story of the day the news dropped and how they learned about it before Taehyung made them agree to stop bringing it up over and over.
After that it was the brunette's turn to tell his friends all about Heejin, after showing them a picture of her, Jimin and Hoseok recognized her, she was indeed one of the popular girls at school, they would often eat lunch together whenever Jungkook wasn't with them.
