ONE YEAR LATER

Taehyung looked around his apartment, any personal object or furniture had been taken away by the movers last week, right now all that was left were the two bags filled with whatever clothes, towel or blanket he had used until now.

"Babe! Let's go!" He yelled for his boyfriend who was somewhere in one of the empty rooms.

"Are you sure you have everything?" Jungkook immerged from the bedroom on the second floor.

"Yes! Now let's go" Taehyung grabbed both bags and made his way to the door.

"You're forgetting something"

"No, I'm not!" It bothered Taehyung that Jungkook always treated him like a child when it came to important things like moving.

"Take a look inside the pet carrier" The younger sighed, pointing at the green box that was placed on top of the kitchen counter.

He heard Taehyung gasp when he saw it was empty and started calling out for their cat. Even thought the cat would mostly always be at Jungkook's house throughout the year since they had rescued her, the couple had made sure she spent some time in Taehyung's apartment as well.

"Got her!" Taehyung appeared holding a still rather small, calico cat in his arms. "There you go, Shooky" He gently placed her inside and handed Jungkook the carrier.

The pair made their way down to the car, driving back to Jungkook's house. It was decided the two would move in together since the lease on the apartment was coming to an end and Taehyung's new movie set was closer to Jungkook's house, but it didn't change the fact that both boys deeply wanted this and were excited for their new life together.

Taehyung was excited, Jungkook had confessed to being a bit scared about the big commitment, he hadn't lived with anybody but his mother who worked all the time and wasn't used to sharing his space. Taehyung on the other hand was very used to it, having lived with Bogum for more than a year, but all in all, it was a big step for them.

A few days ago, Eunwoo, Sejeong and Heejin had come to celebrate the moving in together. The group of friends had dinner all together like they used to, Bogum couldn't make it but did send the pair a gift to show he cared. It made Taehyung very happy to know that he and Bogum could maintain a mature friendship, it may not be as easy going as with the others but at least they didn't despise each other.

After putting away the two bags he had brought back from his apartment, Taehyung went to check in on Shooky before going downstairs to join Jungkook. The boy was making dinner in the kitchen, now that they lived together, they had decided to order three times a week and cook the other four nights. Jungkook had pleaded to order take out tonight, claiming he was tired from cleaning out the apartment but nothing could make Taehyung waver from his determination to eat healthy.

"Smells good" He whispered in his ear, kissing his neck.

"It better be good, I spent thirty minutes chopping all of these vegetables into little cubes"

Taehyung found Jungkook's frustration very entertaining to watch, the boy would often curse and loose his cool when facing pans and pots.

"When do you leave for Paris?"

"Two days"

Taehyung pouted, he hated when Jungkook had to travel for work and left him alone in the house, even though it had gotten better ever since they had adopted Shooky, now every time Taehyung heard something in the night, he'd blame it on the cat.

"And after that, how about I take you to Paris, instead of some rich prick" Jungkook turned around, locking the other in his arms.

"Well I like the sound of that" Taehyung closed his eyes and kissed the other, his lips tasted of wine and laurel from the sauce he was making.

As Jungkook made dinner, Taehyung took the time to set a nice table for them to eat, it was something his parents had taught him and which he valued tremendoulsy. During his relationship with Bogum, he wasn't able to eat dinner with him a lot, even less set up a proper table for them to eat at.

Once he was done, he put on some music and danced with Shooky in his arms,  every once in a while he went to pester Jungkook while he cooked until dinner was served. The dinner was spent talking about the details of Jungkook's trip and going over Taehyung's new movie, after that, the dishes were done by the elder while Jungkook cleaned the table. Over their time together, the pair had established a perfectly smooth dynamic and worked together like a well-oiled machine.

Taehyung's dream of having someone to share every day things with had come true, Jungkook was very detailed oriented and gave all of his free time to his significant other, finally giving him the attention he had craved when he was with Bogum. Taehyung in turn offered love and attention, as well as constant care for Jungkook who had been hurt too much by the people around him. He worked hard every day to show Jungkook that he could rely on him and that no matter what would happen, this time he'd always be there for him, this time nothing could tear him away. And after the waves of homophobic comments and mean rumors that had been thrown at them, as well as all the people that believed Jungkook wasn't enough for the star actor, Taehyung stood strong next to his life partner.

So tonight, as he laid down next to him, and for the rest of his life, Taehyung knew they would be together for as long as they loved each other, for as long as they annoyed one another and for as long as life would bring them back together.
