We walk into the luxurious restaurant, Kiandre leading me and Leandro trailing behind me. Kiandre talks with the woman at the front desk, leaving me and Leandro standing in awkward silence.
"So, how was last night?" I turn to Leandro, but I immediately start to look down. "Um, we went out in the city. Attended a concert".
"Sounds fun" Kiandre walks back up to us, and beckons us to follow her, and we do. The waitress leads us to a table, with four seats. I take the seat closer to the window, and Kiandre sits in front of me. That leads Leandro to sit beside me. Oh lord-
"So, Leandro, right?" Kiandre starts questioning him, looking at him with a curious expression. Leandro simply nods, his face as straight as ever.
"What are your intentions with Lunae?" I internally roll my eyes at her.
"To marry her, and to make her happy" I roll my eyes for real this time.
"You don't need to lie to me, I already know about everything. And anyway, I'm not the one that you should fear. Although, treat her wrong, and you'll simply regret it."
"Understood" The waitress comes to our table and hands us the menus. I take one good look, and I look at Leandro. His face is the same, but the little furrow of his eyebrows tells me that he's thinking deeply. He catches me looking at him, and I turn away quickly, embarrassed.
"So, Lunae, when were you thinking of getting married?" I look at her.
"We haven't planned anything yet." I start fiddling with my ring in nervousness, and she notices. She turns her attention to Leandro.
"So, how are you liking London so far, Leandro."
"Well, I come here from time to time, for business. It's not new to me."
"Ahh, I see." The waitress comes up to us, and as she gives us the menus, she ogles, at Leandro. She basically pushes her boobs in his face, while handing me my menu. I roll my eyes internally, as she looks at him with a sultry look. I look at Kiandre who's already looking at me with a small smirk on her face.
I look back down at my menu and settle on some waffles and fruits. I close the menu and wait for the others to make their choice. I look outside at the busy scene. And for some reason, it calms me. I feel serene, seeing all these people going out and about in the city. But as I think about it, it's easy to feel lonely here. People are walking around, looking busy, going to see their friends, but they can be alone. They can be unseen.
"Lunae!" I snap my head at Kiandre. "I've been calling you for a while now, what do you want to eat?" I relax instantly.
"The waffles and fruits"
"What drink do you want with that?" The waitress from earlier looks down at me, smacking the gum in her mouth.
"Only a cup of water please, and thank you" She rolls her eyes and walks away with our orders.
