When I wake up, I see Leandro asleep. I rub the sleep out of my eyes, then move closer to him. I look at his hard, but soft feature, and wonder if he's the fallen angel. He looks angelic, but has the most devilish character. Well, had.
Before he took pity on me, and decided to change.
Sigh.
"I could get used to this"
"To what?"
"To you waiting for me to wake up" I turn away, raising my knees to my chest, and pull the blanket over my body. I had taken off my coat a while ago, but I was shivering now.
"What's wrong?"
"You're being nice to me out of pity" I mumble, loud enough for him to hear. I hear shuffling next to me, and the next minute, My face was being held by soft hands. Leandro's soft hands.
"I am not. Get that idea through your head. I regret the way I treated you before, but I am determined to change. Okay?" I weakly nod my head, and he lets go, my body immediately missing the warmth.
After a few minutes of sitting in silence, the captain announces that we'll be landing soon. I pick up everything that belongs to me, and once we get the clear, I get off the plane, and face the most beautiful Italian sunset.
"Pretty, right?"
"Gorgeous"
"Like you" I look back at him, and blush furiously. We walk to a vintage convertible, with red accents.
"Is this our ride?"
"Yep. 1965 Ford Mustang convertible. Had it since I turned 20" I smile a little, and watch as Leandro rounds the car, and opens the passenger door for me.
"Shall we"
"We shall" I get in the passenger, and in no time, we're driving off to wherever we're staying.
"Where are we going?"
"Our house"
"Our?"
"Ciò che è mio è tuo, Amorina" What's mine is yours, Little love.
He never fails to make my heart flutter.
"But to answer your question, the house I bought for us. When I moved out, I sold my penthouse, and whenever I visited, I stayed at my parents. Figured you'd want some privacy."
"I-i don't know what to say"
"Then don't. Just accept it, darling" We spend the rest of the drive in silence, until we start to go up a hill, surrounded by Forrest.
I stay silent until I see a house. You can't really can't tell what it looks like at night, but you can see the green vines running up the walls.
"Let's go" I get out of the car with my purse, and Leandro gets our luggage, and opens the front door. He opens the light, and I look around. The house is made in glass and I see shadows of greenery in almost every corner.
Leandro grabs my hand, and leads me up a flight of stairs, and into a bedroom.
"This is your bedroom. Get some rest, Amorina. Good night" And he walks out without another word.
Short chapter, but we're in Italy!
