"I'm so sorry-" I start until I see who I bumped into. Xandra is standing there with a little white dog on a leash sniffing my leg. "Look who we have here." Xandra says with a smile as she drops her dead cigarette and smooshes it into the ground with her foot. "Who's this little one?" I say, trying to change the topic as I bend down and rub the dog as the dog rubs on me happily. "That's poppers. He needs walks every night, what are you doing out this late?" Xandra asks me as I continue to rub on him. "Well I just have a lot on my mind and I just need a little walk.." I said with a sigh as I stood up. I wasn't lying really.

"You're too young to have a lot on your mind, I'm bombarded by the wedding, and ofcourse Larry isn't even home. Probably at the bar or something." Xandra said with a sigh as she pulls out another cigarette. "Sometimes I wonder why I said yes, but he is a nice fellow, just has a drinking problem. And he's pretty nice." Xandra continues as she still just stands there. I feel a few droplets of rain fall. "I'm sorry about that." I say with a nod, not knowing what to say. Soon more rain begins to fall, making it a light but decently hard rainfall. "Wish I would've brought an umbrella." Xandra says with a sigh as popper licks the rain. "Who needs an umbrella?" I say with a laugh as I lay down on the concrete below me. "What are you doing?" Xandra asks, confused. "You should try it, it's very relaxing." I say with a sigh as I close my eyes and smile. Soon I hear light laughs beside me and I look over and see Xandra laying on the ground, popper ontop of her.

"It is pretty enjoyable." Xandra says once her laughs have calmed down. I reach my hand around and feel Xandra pulling at her knuckles. I grab her hand. "You shouldn't do that, you'll hurt yourself." I say with a smile as I look at her, holding her hand now. "Oh I'm so sorry" she says with a roll of her eyes. "I'm serious." I say with a smirk. "I'm seriouser." Xandra says with a smirk right back. "Fine you win." I say with a smile as I pull my hand away only for her to grab it back. "No, you win." Xandra says as she looks back up at the rain. "I'm fine with that, I do love winning." I say with a smile. "Whatever." Xandra says as she closes her eyes back, popper soon finding a spot to sit down in-between us and still licking the rain.

How did I end up on the concrete, below rain, at 2 am, holding hands with my moms friend who I have a crush on?

All I know is that I love it.
