The days for the wedding were slowly inching closer and closer until it was a day away. Why did I not choose to get a dress sooner..my mom made me go out by myself which sucks because I love other people's opinions.
I roam the dress isle looking for a red one, a specific one. Eventually I stumble upon it. It was beautiful. It had thin spaghetti straps, and it was made where it slightly sinks in to show a bit of cleavage and it's to mid-thigh. It's a little revealing, but still fit for a teen. I pick out my size and quickly rush to the dressing room. I quickly change and stand in-front of a mirror. It fit me perfectly, and I think it looked great. I pull out my phone and take a picture, knowing Xandra was at my house so I could ask her if it looked alright, if not I guess I would just have to come back out.
Before I know it I'm pulling into the driveway and I park my car right outside the garage. I get out and grab my dress and a few other sweets I got myself. Now that I think about it I might just change into the dress instead of just showing a picture to Xandra. I rush in. "Im Home mom!" I yell as I close the door and lock it behind me. "Okay!" I hear my mom yell back and then continue talking to Xandra. I thud up the steps, anxious to hear Xandra's opinion. Why do I only care about her opinion, I should also care about my mom's...but I also want to impress Xandra. Okay why am I thinking like this, she's literally engaged.
I fix the dress in my mirror, making sure it's perfect. Once everything is just right I finally walk downstairs and I enter the kitchen where my mom and Xandra are. "Woah." My mom said as she put up her hand. "Good or bad?" I ask with a chuckle. "Just put it like this..if you weren't my daughter I would consider dating you." My mom said as she continued to put her hand up. Interesting compliment. "Thanks I guess? Xandra will this be good?" I ask Xandra. "That's perfect actually, you might be the most stunning bridesmaid at my wedding!" Xandra says with a smirk. I smile, I'm glad she likes it. "I'm glad it's good, it's the only one I have and the only one I bought. I would hate to go back out. How does it feel for your wedding to be tomorrow?" I ask with a large smile. "Oh, it feels wonderful. I've been wanting to get married since I was a kid, not in a weird way ofcourse." Xandra says with a smirk. "You are weird Xan" my mom adds on. "I'm not!" Xandra argues back. "Look at your daughter!" Xandra adds on. I assume she was talking about the 'rain' situation. "What do you mean? She's pretty weird, but not weirder than you Xan" my mom says with a smirk.
I give Xandra a Look, telling her she better not say anything as I cut my eyes towards her. "Yeah like the other night-" Xandra starts. "No actually that was your doing." I say as I stare at her. "As I was saying I saw-" Xandra goes to continue. "Saw what? That reminds me, I saw a little white dog a few days back and he was so cute but the owner of him was cuter." I say with a smile as I look at my mom. I lean against the doorframe and play with my hair. Xandra stared at me, jaw dropped practically to the floor. "Ooh, describe, now." My mom demands. "Well it was a woman, she had blonde hair, it was kind of like yours Xandra! She said the dogs name was poppers." I say with a smirk as I look over at Xandra. "Poppers...what an interesting name." My mom says as she thinks. I walk beside Xandra, making sure I can whisper to her without my mom noticing. "I'm just joking red face." I whisper in her ear with a smirk as I grab a water and walk out of the kitchen, leaving my mom and Xandra in there.
I don't know what came over me to say that, but it was kind of fun messing with her. Was I completely messing around though?
Definitely not, especially about the cute part.
