Dinner was just as awkward as anything else had been tonight, especially due to the fact Xandra's knee was constantly touching mine.

Soon, she did leave though, saying she had to go back to Larry or whatever. I don't get why parents like to be so involved with each-other, and from what Xandra said about Larry he sounds like a scumbag, but I don't know. All I know is that I'm absolutely worn out and drop dead tired. "Night mom!" I yell as I walk up to my room. "Night." She calls back from the living room.

I close my door and plop down on my bed. I stare up at the ceiling, thoughts racing throughout my head of tonight. Xandra constantly stays in my mind. Why should I even be thinking about her so much?! She's literally not even my friend, she probably has no care in the world for me, I'm just her mom's friend's daughter. One thought rushes through my head, I almost brush away the idea, but it seems impossible to not.

I grab my jacket and slide it over my arms and open my window. I've snuck out of this house many more times than I can count. I slide out and close my window back, not locking it though. I slide off the roof and jump to the ground. I've always loved the peacefulness of outside, the chirp of crickets, the low calls of owls, and the breeze running through the trees. I'd want to spend my whole life outside if I could, but sadly, that's impossible. So for right now, I'll happily take my night walks around town.

Until, I of-course had to bump into somebody.
