*Liana*

In English class, I looked up as Zev slid into the seat next to me. I hadn't spoken with him since two days ago when he had said I was his. I didn't know what to make of it or why he would say that and then just walk away. Despite not knowing what to make of his actions, my heart pounded as he leveled those amazing blue eyes on me. "Good morning," He said.

"Good morning," I said. "Um, how are you this, uh, morning?" I inwardly flinched at how lame I sounded. It's Zev's fault, he scrambles my brain, I thought ruefully.

Amusement filled Zev's eyes. "I'm good. Better now that I'm seated next to you." He said huskily.

I gave a laugh. "You're being silly."

"No, I'm not," Zev said, leaning towards me. "Liana, would you go out to dinner with me?"

My eyes widened slightly. "I – dinner? You want to go out to dinner with me?"

"Yes."

"Like– like a date or -"

"A date. Definitely a date," Zev's lips curved into a smile. "What do you say? Tomorrow night? I'll make reservations at Moonlit."

I hadn't heard of Moonlit but figured I could ask Hanna about it so that I knew how I should dress. In fact, maybe Hanna would help me get ready. "I would love to go," I said, hoping I didn't sound too eager. It was simply dinner, no big deal. A girl's got to eat, right? Oh, who was I kidding? I couldn't wait to go out with him!

"I'll let you know what time I will pick you up after I make the reservation," Zev told me.

"Do you think they will be booked? Is it a popular restaurant?"

Zev winked at me. "I know the owners. He and his wife are friends of the family. We won't have trouble getting in."

I couldn't help but smile. "I'm looking forward to it."

I caught up with Hanna in the cafeteria where she was looking over the food selection. I couldn't wait to tell my friend about my date and hoped she would help me figure out what to wear.

Hanna glanced at me as she joined her in the line. "Does that meatloaf look real to you? I think it's fake."

I looked at the grayish piece of meat and wrinkled my nose. "I don't think it's real and I don't want to know what it could be." I said flatly. This is why I brought my lunch to school.

Hanna laughed and took a turkey and cheese sandwich. "Me either."

I had again brought my own sandwich but I bought a yogurt and a bottle of water to go with it. As we walked to our usual table, I couldn't help looking over at where Zev and his friends sat. He caught my eye and gave me a slow grin. Blushing, I put my food on the table, aware that Hanna was staring at me.

"Okay, spill it. What's going on?" Hanna demanded. "Did he give you another ride to school?"

"No," I opened my water and took a sip. "He asked me out."

"What?" Hanna screeched and then clapped a hand over her mouth.

"Geez, Hanna," I groaned, looking around to see if anyone was staring at us.

"Sorry, sorry," Hanna said quickly. "But really? He asked you out?" She asked excitedly.

"For tomorrow night at some restaurant called Moonlit," I said. When Hanna's eyes widened, I leaned forward. "You know of it? What kind of restaurant is it?"
