*Liana*

I rolled my eyes when I saw Priscilla's smug look. What is she trying to do? I wondered with some amusement. Tripp was a jerk, I shouldn't really be surprised that he appealed to Priscilla. I exchanged a look with Hanna and knew my friend was having similar thoughts.

"Everyone having fun at this little dance?" Priscilla asked, her eyes looking Zev over hungrily.

I narrowed my eyes, wishing Priscilla didn't look like a model in her fire engine red dress. Someone so nasty shouldn't be so pretty, I thought resentfully. I noticed that Tripp didn't come too close to us and after his and Zev's last altercation, I thought that was smart on his part.

"We were," Hanna muttered.

Rafe snorted and ignored the glare Priscilla gave him. "They have food here, right?" He asked, looking around.

I pointed at a table that held sandwiches, cookies and punch.

"How come guys can eat so much and not gain anything?" Hanna sighed, her eyes amused as we watched the guys, except Zev, head to the table and begin stuffing their faces.

"True, some of you need to watch your calorie intake," Priscilla said, looking Hanna over with a raised eyebrow.

"Priscilla, why don't you take your date and go dance?" Zev suggested in a cold tone.

"We will, Tripp seems quite captivated by me," Priscilla smiled with fake sweetness.

"Well, at least you managed to get one of Liana's leftovers," Hanna shot back.

I bit back a laugh when I saw the dangerous look cross over Priscilla's face. I stood in front of Hanna protectively.

"I can get anyone I want," Priscilla hissed at us.

I gave her a smirk. "Not anyone." I shouldn't taunt the she-wolf but apparently Priscilla brought out the worst in me. I caught Zev's eye and he gave me an amused grin.

Priscilla growled and took a step forward only to come face to face with Zev, who quickly stood in front of me "Back off," Zev warned. "Your attitude and choice of date means you won't be hanging with us this evening."

"Hey Zev! Come here a minute!" Colt called from the food table.

Zev glanced at me and I gave him nod. "Go on. We'll be fine." I assured him.

"I'll be right back. Everyone better behave," Zev said, giving Priscilla a stern look before walking away.

"So what's the problem, you can't handle it that Tripp prefers me?" Priscilla asked me snidely.

I glanced to where Tripp stood and snorted. "I don't like Tripp, which he seemed to have a problem with. My opinion is that he is rude, arrogant and selfish. Honestly, I can see that you two belong together so I hope you have a nice evening," I gave the red-headed she-wolf a fake smile and stepped away, with Hanna snickering as she followed.

"Did she really think it would bother you to have Tripp as her date?" Hanna asked me.

I shrugged. "I doubt it. I think she just wanted to make the evening uncomfortable. And of course, to try to get Zev's attention."

Hanna shook her head. "She's crazy then because the only one who has Zev's attention is you."

I blushed and I glanced at my mate, who was looking at me. He gave me wink when I caught his eye. "He's pretty amazing," I murmured. I focused back on my friend. "What about Jake? Are you happy to be here with him?"

"He's nice," Hanna said. "I don't think I'm interested in him though. Not like that. But he's nice to hang out with." Her gaze went to where Jake was standing with Sarina and Rafe. Colt and Nash had moved to talk to a group of giggling girls. "Oh, are Sarina and Rafe, um, here together?"
