As we entered Moonlit, I gasped softly. It was so beautiful. The place was a dreamy low-lit setting and the walls and ceiling were adjourned with white cherry blossoms. There was even a large fireplace where a crackling fire was lit, adding to the elegance. Tables were set up with white silky covers, and two long candles with a vase of flowers in between each table. "Oh, it's so pretty," I murmured.

"Do you two have a– oh, Zev!" A woman with brown hair pulled into a sleek bun beamed. "I saw you on the list." She gave me a curious look. "And this is your...date?"

"Beverly," Zev nodded with a smile. "Yes, this is Liana Lachey. Liana, this is Beverly Robinson. She and her husband, Arthur, own this fine establishment. They're friends with my parents, I've known them since I was a kid."

"Liana, it's nice to meet you," Beverly shook my hand. "Let me show you to your table."

Once seated, Beverly gave them each a menu. "I'll have waters and a breadbasket sent over. Did you want any appetizers?"

"We'll share a Shrimp Cocktail," Zev said. He looked at me. "Does that sound good?"

I nodded. "Yes, that sounds lovely."

"I'll have that sent over right away. I hope you enjoy your evening." She gave us a smile, her eyes lingering on me a bit before she moved away.

I frowned slightly, wondering why Beverly had been looking at me so curiously. She probably expected Zev to be with a different type of girl, I thought with a sigh. One that was model beautiful or something.

Zev was looking at his menu. "So what are you in the mood for? The Filet Mignon is very good as is the Chicken Piccata. The pasta is excellent as well." He told me.

I gazed through the menu, my eyes slightly widening at the prices. I had never had a meal at these prices before. I felt a little funny ordering food this expensive and I wondered if he would have an issue with me paying some of the bill. I didn't have a lot of money left after buying my dress but at least...

"Stop."

I looked up and noticed that Zev was staring at me with a slightly annoyed expression. "Stop what?"

"I know what you are thinking," Zev said with a shake of his head. "You're worried about the prices and I don't want that to be a factor in what you order. Order anything you like, it's on me and it's no problem." He smirked. "And no, you will not be paying for any of it."

My mouth dropped open. "How did you know I was thinking that?"

Zev shrugged carelessly. "I could tell by the look in your eyes as you read through your menu." He raised an eyebrow. "Do I need to order for you so you don't automatically order the least expensive thing on the menu?"

I bristled. "No, I can order for myself." Never mind that that had been exactly what I was going to do.

Zev chuckled and leaned forward to take my hand in his. "I want you to have a good time. And I wanted to bring you to a nice place and spoil you a bit. Is that okay?" He asked softly.

I relaxed and nodded. "Yeah, it's okay. I'm sorry, I've just never been to a restaurant as nice as this."

Zev gave my hand a squeeze before letting it go. "You deserve to be brought to a place as nice as this."

We enjoyed the Shrimp Cocktail and breadbasket before a waiter came over. He looked like he was in his early twenties and immediately had his eyes on me. "Well, hello and good evening." He gave me a charming smile. "My name is Kurt and I'll be your waiter."
