*Liana*
"Zev, are you okay?" I asked, running my hand over a small gash in his chest.
"I'm fine," Zev held me close, breathing her in. "We need to get your wounds treated." He gave a visible wince at the sight of my leg.
"I'm okay," I pressed my face into his shoulder. I felt myself shaking and tried to calm down. I heard a car pull up and doors slamming. "Can you grab that shirt?" The shirt I had been wearing was torn a little bit better than wearing nothing.
Zev handed it to me, his face darkening. "It smells like Phelan," He growled as I put it on.
"I know," I wrinkled my nose distastefully as Konrad, Bleiz and a man I didn't recognize came rushing in.
"Phelan!" The man hurried to kneel next to him.
"If he is alive, I'm going to kill him," Zev growled.
Konrad glanced at Priscilla's body before handing his son a shirt and shorts. "It's a good thing I always keep clothes in the car," He said wryly. He focused on me. "Are you all right?" His eyes narrowed on my leg. "No, you're not."
Phelan made a pained groan and Zev slowly stood up, his eyes murderous. "Too bad he didn't die. Easily fixed though."
"Wait," I put my hand on his arm. The pain in my leg was intense and I leaned against him. Zev's eyes softened and he lifted me into his arms.
"I'll get you out of here before I deal with Phelan," Zev said.
"Over my dead body!" The man I didn't know shouted. She figured this was Raulf.
"Fine by me," Zev said with a snarl.
"Zev," I said quietly. "Please don't hurt Phelan."
"Excuse me?" Zev looked at me in shock. "He took you. He was part of this!"
"He took me, yes but he didn't hurt me. It was all Priscilla. He didn't know the necklace would hurt me and when he realized what Priscilla's true intentions were, he was going to bring me back to you. Priscilla stabbed him and then she started to attack me and my hands were tied, I couldn't shift," I blinked back tears at the terror I had felt in that moment. "Phelan managed to get up and pull the necklace off of me." I looked pleadingly at Zev as I put my arms around his neck. "He helped me."
"He needs to go to our healer," Raulf spoke up, giving me a look filled with gratitude.
Konrad exchanged a look with Zev for a moment. "When he is healed, I will need to talk to him," He said in a firm voice. "He did kidnap one of my pack."
Raulf looked pained. "I know." He once again glanced at me. "I shouldn't have encouraged..." He shook his head, carefully picking up the injured wolf and carrying him out of the cabin.
"Liana needs to be looked at by Lorelei," Zev told his dad.
"Let's go. Bleiz will take care of Priscilla's body," Konrad said with a quick look at his beta.
