"How do I look? Do I look good?" Looking at the mirror, I think I look good.

I frowned when I heard her laugh.  "What's so funny?"

"Oh, nothing. I'm just... happy."

She continued giggling. Is she making fun of me?

I looked in the mirror and said, "Are you making fun of me? Is my outfit weird?" The dress is very nice. I'm not wearing my typical jeans, so it's a little weird. I still need time to get used to wearing a dress.

I frowned and said, "You're making me feel self-conscious. Why are you laughing? Be honest, do I look bad? I can change, but I only have one dress and the rest are jeans and shirts."

"I've never seen you wear a dress so willingly." She grinned in an irritating way.

"Can't you see? Instead of wearing what you usually wear, you actually chose to wear a freaking dress. I still think you should've worn like a more sexier dress rather than that flowery dress you're wearing."

"So? Can't I wear a dress once in a while? Duhh!" Obviously, people change.

She rolled her eyes and said, "You can, but the thing is, you went outside of your comfort zone and wore a dress just to see your so-called friend, who doesn't even know that you're here. It's not like you're going on a date. You'll probably just talk for a while and do something boring. What's the point of wearing a dress and dolling yourself up?"

I told her, "Of course, I have to look good in front of my friend. It's been a while since we last met in person."

"Exactly my point! You're meeting a friend, not your boyfriend. You can wear anything."

She's not wrong though. Fine.

"You're right. It's not like I'm meeting my boyfriend. I can just wear anything." I like this floral dress I'm sporting. It has a summery feel and is neither extremely conservative nor overly revealing.

I looked in the mirror and told her, "Okay. Then I will... wear this dress. I look good on it."

She chuckled and said, "You like him."

"He's my friend. Of course I like him."

"That's BS! It's the kind of like where you want to kiss him, hug him, ravage him, get on top of him, and-"

I flung the cushion at her before she could utter any more of the x rated things she wants to say.

"I don't like him that way."

"Did you miss him the whole time you were in the Philippines?"

I nodded.

"Aha! I knew it! Were you jealous when he got a girlfriend? You missed him, you wanted to see him badly, and then one day you realized your feelings for him. Is that what happened?"

I sighed in frustration. "I do miss him but not every time and I don't like him that way. Why do you keep insisting that I like him?"

"Oh my god!" she suddenly shrieked, and then she looked at me like she's... judging me.

"He's finally single, which means this is the perfect chance to make him yours. Is that why you came? You opportunistic b*tch! I like it."

Over dramatic much? "Shut up."

Yes, I used to have feelings for him, but they were not that deep. I wasn't that into him, so I got over my feelings rather quickly. It's more of like a crush, because, let's be honest, it's really not that hard to like him, but she doesn't need to know that. I am soooo over him. She'll tease me nonstop if she knows, so I better keep it a secret.

"Girl, it's okay to like him. He already broke up with his ex. He's officially single, which you have been waiting for. Aside from him being famous, having lots of admirers, and a history of dating successful and famous people, you don't have to worry about anything else. Sure, you're not famous or successful, but you're still beautiful. Not supermodel beautiful, but you're beautiful. You're like in the middle." Then she chuckled.

And added, "Besides, you don't even know if he likes you, so don't get too ahead of yourself thinking that you'll be his girlfriend or something. He can date any woman he wants because he is young, rich and sexy. You can keep liking him, but don't expect too much from him."

Is she encouraging or discouraging me? I can't tell. When I went back home, we did continue to talk over the phone from time to time, but not that often. I actually learned about his breakup from Kayla and also from the internet. I tried calling him after, but he never answered, and it's been a month since that happened.

So when Kayla contacted me to ask if I wanted to go on a vacation here in Puerto Rico, I immediately answered yes. Why would I not? It's a free vacation and I also want to see how he is doing. I already contacted Noah, and he did say Beni is doing fine. It doesn't hurt to check on him because I'm already in PR.

"Anyway, he really doesn't know we're here?"

I nodded. "He doesn't. I told you, it's a surprise." He doesn't even answer my calls or text, so of course he wouldn't know. I also told Noah not to tell him, just in case.

"How will you surprise him? Do you even know his address? Or if he is here right now?"

"He's here. Noah said so, and he promised to pick me up to drive me to Beni's place." I told her.

"What time is Noah getting here?"

My phone rang before I could respond to her question. I read the message I got from Noah and said, "He's here." I pick up my bag and walked towards the door.

"Come back early. We have lots of sightseeing to do today."

When I got down, Noah was waiting for me in front of the hotel. I smiled at him, and we hugged each other before getting into his car.
