Why isn't he calling?

Leaning on the chair and gazing at her phone, she let out a sigh. She really wants to call him, but the last time she did, he was busy so she haven't seen him in days. She doesn't want to disturb him, and what if he finds her too pushy or annoying?

I miss him.

Miguel held up two different colored pieces of clothing and said, "Girl, stop looking at your phone. It's not like he will magically appear if you keep staring at it. Look at me and check which color looks better."

Mia looked up and asked, "Can't you just buy both?"

"Right. They both look good on me anyway. Why not just get both? Why didn't I think of that? Let me try this other one's," he said before returning to the fitting room.

Mia came across a short clip when she was idly surfing the internet while waiting for Miguel. She didn't intend to play it, but the caption caught her attention. As soon as the video began, she frowned. It was barely a two-minute video, and according to the comments, it happened last night.

When the fitting room curtain opened, she stopped watching it.

"Mia, do you think my trousers make my ass look bigger?" He turned around so Mia could see his behind better.

"Yeah, it does. It looks good on you. Migs, I'm hungry. Can we go eat now?"

"Let me change my pants. We can go eat after I pay for my items."

After he changed, the two went to the cashier to pay for the clothes before heading to an eat all you can Korean restaurant.

Miguel observed Mia gorging on the freshly cooked meat. "Girl, slow down. No one's taking your food. Are you stressed eating or something? Shouldn't you start dieting because you already have a boyfriend?" He only had five or so pieces, but she already ate almost all of the meat that was just cooked.

She wrapped five slices of meat on a single lettuce leaf. "Diet? I don't know that word."

While she was eating, the screen light on her phone that was on the table lit up. She stopped eating after seeing who messaged her. She picked it up and read the text.

She grinned as she read the message. She exchanged a couple of messages with Benito before placing her phone back on the table and resumed eating. This time, she ate slower than before. She even placed a few pieces of cooked meat on Miguel's plate.

"I was beginning to think you don't know the word sharing," Miguel told her after noticing the change of behavior.

She suddenly giggled making him look at her with confusion. "What's so funny?"

She placed more meat on Miguel's plate. "Nothing. Beni just texted."

"Oh, so that's why. What did he say?"

"Nothing much, but he said he would fetch me later to go to a party. He's asking if you guys want to come."

"Is there a dress code?" Miguel asked.

Mia shrugs her shoulder. "I don't know. I guess party clothes."

He put his chopsticks down and looked at Mia as if he couldn't believe what she had just said. "Party clothes? Party clothes? Are you hearing yourself? Anything can be party clothes. I need specifics."

"Okay, fine. Let me ask him. Jeez." She rolled her eyes before texting Beni. He's acting like she just made a serious mistake. She received an immediate response and relayed it to Miguel.

"He said to wear anything you like."

"He's telling you to wear anything you like. Stop eating. We have to go and prepare."  He stood up and picked up Mia's bag.
