I've been trying to convince my mom to let me go back with Kyle and Kayla at L.A. My Dad already agreed but he said whatever my Mom says is the final word.

I know I'm an adult that I don't need to ask permission but I have to. They're my parents and I live in their house plus she's currently taking care of my business so I have to get her permission.

Tita Maria decided to extend her vacation because it's been a long time since she spent time with her Dad and family here in the Philippines. She would stay here for another two weeks and her children would go back first.

"Mama, it's better if I accompany them back. Who will take care of Kyle and Kayla? They can't cook."

I look at my aunt to ask for her help.

"Just let her be. She's old enough, and besides, I am more comfortable if she is with them. My kids might die of starvation if Mia doesn't go with them, and I don't want them to eat ordered food every day or fast food." My aunt said, and I was secretly gleaming from the inside because of her support. Compared to my mom, Tita Maria is more laid-back .

"Sige pero make sure that you'll come back before your visa expires. I've been taking care of your business because your cousin is not feeling well. I can't even go out with my amigas because of your shop."

I just nodded to everything my mom said. I don't want her to change her mind. I was so ecstatic. After getting her approval, I happily went back to my room.

"Ano na?" Diego inquired. (What happened?)

I wanted to keep the suspense going, but I was so happy that I couldn't help smiling so wide at them. My expression was a dead giveaway.

"I am so going back with you guys." I said with joy, and then Kayla and I started shrieking and jumping around in excitement.

I looked at Diego, and he was covering his ears with a frown on his face.

"Anak nang puta! I think I'm deaf." (Son of a bitch!)

"OA much?" I hit him with a pillow. (OA means over acting)

"Well, this is definitely great news. We should celebrate. Let's go to the city, eat pizza and go shopping." Kayla suggested, and I agreed right away.

"Well, you girls enjoy. I'll get going." Diego suddenly said just after I took my sling bag.

"Diego, sasama ka." I told him. (Diego, you're coming.)

"Heh! No, thanks."

"It's not an option. You are coming." I repeated. Diego really needs to come with us because he has a car, and we don't need to wait for a taxi or a jeep to go to the city center.

"Ughh! Again? Don't you two have other male friends to invite to help you carry your things? "He complained.

"Don't be so overly dramatic. It's not like we tell you to carry our things. You carry them willingly." Kayla said.

"Yeah, cause you won't stop saying how guys should act like gentleman. How to be like this or like that. I just do it to shut you up. I don't do it willingly." Diego said.

"Yeah, cause guys should be gentlemanly."

"It was one shopping bag, Kayla. One." He said with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"Exactly my point. It was only one shopping bag, but you act like I made you carry more than that. What are you bitching at me for? By the way, why aren't you complaining when Mia asked you to carry her shopping bags?" she said, and suddenly their attention turned towards me.

Ahhh, she just can't leave me out of this. I'm not the one who can't carry one shopping bag.

"Because it was a bag full of groceries and it was heavy, plus she asked me so nicely. Unlike someone." Diego said while giving Kayla a side eye, making me laugh.

"Ugh! Favoritism much? Tell him, Mia. Mia, tell him." she said, and she looked at me, waiting for me to say something.

What should I tell him exactly?

"Best friend, tell her how unreasonable she is." And now Diego is looking at me, waiting for me to say something.

"Cousin!"

"Bestfriend!"

"Ahhhh... Kayla, I'll help you carry your things, and Diego, you still need to come with us, and could you please still help us carry our things when we need you to? Thank you." I told them.

"Sure, no problem." he said, and he looked at Kayla, saying, "See, she asked nicely and said thank you. Unlike someone."

"You-"

"Okay! Time to go. Let's go, let's go." I said as I pushed the two out of the room and dragged them downstairs.
