"Look to your side... Yeah, that's it... Okay, next is to lean on the railings, yup. Like that."
I've been taking pictures of Kayla.
The background is simply stunning. It's also a little windy, which added effects to the photos I took of her. She looks satisfied as she checks the photos I took of her.
"I told you. Who needs a photographer when you have me?" I proudly said.
As we look over the photos I shot, she nudges me and asks, "What happened to not forgiving him?"
"Well, it turns out that I'm a magnanimous person and that he is extremely charming."
She nodded, and I nodded, and then we started gushing about him.
"I feel you. He is charming."
"Did you see how good he looks? Like, Oh my gosh! He looks so, soooo good! I wanted to scream and start acting like a total fangirl, but I don't want to humiliate myself in front of my idol slash future cousin in law, so I had to like hold myself back." She gushes.
Okay, I'll just pretend I didn't hear what she said last. I kept nodding and agreeing with all she said as she continued praising him.
"Girl, why are you still listening to all of my nonsense? You should go back to our table and talk to him. Go! I have to call someone anyway."
I'm done taking pictures anyway, so I headed back to our table.
"Done?" he asked as soon as I sat down.
I nodded. I think I took one or two photos of myself and around thirty or so of Kayla.
"How long are you planning to stay?" he asks, moving in closer and resting his arm over the back of my chair.
I put my elbow on the table so I could lean on it and said, "A week. We will fly back to L.A. on Sunday."
That reminds me that I haven't bought any souvenirs yet.
"When are you going back to the Philippines?
"I'm not sure. Why?" One thing is for sure though, I have to be back before my grandfathers birthday.
"I was thinking... if you two would want to stay with me till you return to L.A."
Is he for real? "Stay with you? Like, on your house?"
"Si"
"Why?" Isn't he supposed to be a famous artist. Is he really willing to let someone else to stay at his personal space?
He shrugs his shoulders. "Why not? It's better than staying at a hotel, plus I live alone. It's nice to have company from time to time."
So is he saying that he's lonely because he lives' alone? Should I?
He added, "You don't have to worry about anything. I am happy to invite you two for a short stay, and the house has enough room for the both of you. Besides, it will only be for a few days."
I'm glad that he invited us to stay with him, but at the same time, I'm also a bit unsure if I should take the offer.
"I'm not sure. Let me ask Kayla first."
He smacks his thigh before saying, "Great! It's settled. I will be picking you two up tomorrow. Call me when you're done packing."
Does he have hearing issues or something? "Dude, I haven't agreed yet."
"Oh, I already know what she's going to say." He replied with a smug, confident expression on his face.
Why is he so confident? My cousin does not feel at ease staying at a stranger's home. I'm a hundred percent sure she won't agree.
