My feet hurt from all of the walking we've been doing the past few days. We visited many stunning locations and tourist hotspots with the help of our local friend Gabriel, whom we first met at the airport before arriving here.
He is a really really really attractive and outgoing guy. While we were waiting for our flight, Kayla and I were discussing where we would visit once we arrived, but we just couldn't decide where to go. We were sitting next to him at that time. He interrupted us in a polite way, suggested the places we should go, and also offered to guide us.
He was so easy to talk to. I swear we didn't agree to have him be our guide because of anything related to his good looks, voice, or dreamy eyes.
Actually, he invited us to a birthday party tonight at a nightclub, which I didn't want to attend but had to because of my cousin. I've never gone to a birthday party at a club. I've never been to a nightclub, and this will be the first time.
Kayla and I agreed that if we felt or saw anything strange, we would leave right away, just to be safe. I'm not saying that Gabriel will do something bad. It's better to be safe than sorry.
Kayla went out because she got bored staying in our hotel room. She just has a lot, I mean a lot of energy, and I can't keep up with her. I don't have the stamina and patience to keep walking all day.
Why can't she just relax like I'm doing? I'm lying on my bed, eating chips, and watching a Korean drama on my tablet. I looked at the time, and it's already past four in the afternoon.
Time really flies fast.I haven't even noticed the time. While drinking, the in-room phone rang, so I walked towards it to answer the call.
"Hello"
The front desk clerk informed me that someone was looking for me. I then told the staff that I would head downstairs.
I fixed my hair a little and wore my slippers before getting out of the room. Our room is on the third floor, and I needed to use the stairs because the building doesn't have an elevator.
While I was getting down the last flight of stairs, I immediately recognized the man waiting at the reception. I mean, who wouldn't? After what happened, I wasn't really expecting to see him again. Well... maybe just a little.
He didn't notice me because he was busy taking pictures with the staff. He finally saw me when they were done. I know I should be mad at him, but why does he look so good today? Like, seriously?
I raised my eyebrows and even crossed my arms. I tried so hard to make myself look like I'm still mad at him, but why do I feel like it'll only take one apology from him for me to forget what happened.
Anyway, I decided to ignore his charming smile, and I turned my attention to his bodyguard. I smiled and greeted him. "Hola, Juaquin. It's nice to see you again."
"Hola, Miss Mia. Good to see you too." Juaquin responded with a smile, and we gave each other a quick friendly hug.
It's nice to see familiar faces in different places. After we exchanged our greetings, I turned my attention to the other guy, who has been staring at me while I was talking to Juaquin.
"Mr. Martinez, what brings you to my humble abode? Well, it's not really my abode. We just rented it. Well, Kayla rented it. You get what I'm saying. Anyway, what brings you here?"
Wait! Why am I suddenly feeling nervous and rumbling all this nonsense? Mia, stop embarrassing yourself! Get yourself together.
He frowned. He must be taken aback because it's the first time I addressed him formally. Huh! Serves you right. I don't care. I told myself not to give in to him so easily. I faced the staff and asked if I could invite my guest to my room, and the staff happily agreed. It must be because he is a fan.
