Why am I on this freaking yacht with a bunch of people I don't even know. I do recognize some of them but I'm not close with them. This yacht is freaking huge and it has almost everything in it. It even has a freaking staff that serves us food and refreshments.
Unlike me, my cousin immediately became friends with the girls as soon as we got here. She just complimented their outfits, hair and stuff and suddenly they became besties. I can't do that, I just get nervous.
Some people get annoyed at me because of how quiet I usually am. I am sooo not good with crowds. I don't even know why I came here when, clearly, I am not a party person. My idea of having fun is way different from that of Beni and his friends. I blame it all on his charms and that silly smile of his.
I feel like my energy is gradually draining. I would rather stay quiet in a corner, reduce my presence, and try not to get notice by anyone.
Just like now. Here I am, sitting pretty and peacefully on a shaded corner, enjoying my orange juice, and playing a game on my phone while others are busy swimming and socializing. I'm just glad that nobody is trying to talk to me.
They might've felt my leave-me-alone vibe, or they just don't care about me. By the way, this time I made sure that what I'm drinking is pure juice without any alcohol in it. I don't want to experience that again.
"Mia"
I paused what I was playing and looked up.
"What's up?"
"Are you sure you don't want to swim? Come on, I'll hold you, and you'll be wearing a life vest."
Beni has been urging me to swim since earlier. How am I supposed to swim when I don't even know how? I don't want to die young.
"I'm already swimming."
I showed the game to him. My character moved quickly in the water to avoid being a meal for sharks. He put his hands on his waist and glared at me, and I giggled at his reaction.
"Just go do your thing and I'll do mine."
"Come on, if you're not going to swim, what's the point of going to the ocean?" he muttered as he sat next to me.
I was going to carry on playing when he suddenly grabbed my phone, forcing me to look at him.
"Why are you so obsessed with me swimming?"
I really don't want to swim, and I also don't want to get sunburned. I applied a lot of sunscreen earlier, but you never know. I easily get sunburnt.
"I just want you to have fun."
"I am having fun." I told him. I was excited getting on the yacht earlier but eventually I got bored.
He retorted, "No, you're not." right away.
I chuckled. "Okay, I'm not, but it's fine. After all, it's not common for someone like me to get on yachts. It's not that bad to be honest."
He took a big breath and stood up. He then places his hands on his attractive waist and gives me a troubled look, saying, "Mia, come on. You're leaving in a few days. I want to spend more time with you."
I sighed internally. I hate him. Why does he have to guilt-trip me? I reluctantly stood up and muttered, "Fine. Let's go."
Then his face brightened up. He certainly does have a nice smile on his face right now, but why isn't he moving? I thought he wanted us to swim in this deep water, with potential sharks swimming around. I looked at him, and he seemed to be waiting for me to do something.
