"Damn. Did you cry a river last night?" Kayla said upon entering the kitchen.

When she came in, Mia and Kyle were drinking coffee and dipping bread into it. Kayla took out an ice pack from the fridge and gave it to Mia.

"Use that to reduce the swelling," she said before making her morning coffee.

With the ice packs in both eyes, Mia said, "I watched too many movies last night. Most of them have very emotional scenes."

Kayla chuckled. "Yeah, right."

"Kyle, tell her."

Kayla looked at her brother and he nodded.

"It's true. I woke up at around two in the morning to drink water, and she was in the living room crying her eyes out watching the Avengers End Game."

"I've watched it more than five times, and Tony's death still gets me." Mia said.

"What time did you sleep?" Kayla asked.

"I didn't sleep."

Kayla looked at her with shock, "For real?"

"Yeah, I couldn't sleep. I was too full to sleep. I ate two bags of ramen, which was weird because I usually feel sleepy when I'm full, and I drank two cups of coffee."

"Aww, honey. Where you that heartbroken last night to cry your eyes out and eat to your heart's content?"

"I already told you, I did not cry because of that. The scene was just very emotional," Mia insisted.

"If you said so."

The three enjoyed their morning coffee and bread, and when Kyle went upstairs, Kayla pulled her chair next to Mia.

"Okay, now that my not-so-tight-lipped brother is not here, tell me everything that happened last night." She only saw the kissing scene last night, but she doesn't know the whole story.

"Last night, he introduced me as his friend to that same woman he was kissing. It was the same woman he was with the other night on that video I saw online."

Mia pulled up the video on her phone and showed it to her cousin.

"No!" Kayla said in shock.

"Yup. I thought that he might want to keep our relationship a secret, which is fine with me, but when I saw them doing that, that's when everything made sense. Now that I think of it, do I even have the right to get mad at him?"

"What are you talking about? You of all people have the right to be mad. Your f*cking boyfriend just cheated on you."

Mia put her cup down and asked, "Do you think I scared him?"

"Why do you say that?"

"I told him that I love him."

Kayla looks at her with confusion. "So?"

"He didn't say he loves me. He only said he likes me that time at the airport. He went silent, so I got nervous and then returned to the car because, you guys, we're waiting for me, and I also embarrassed myself in front of his brother. I was just being honest with my feelings. I don't think I said something wrong."

Kayla sighed and suddenly got a picture of what was happening or what would happen. She leaned back in her chair before saying, "Well, this is just my opinion. I think that people like him, especially given his current status, don't want to be tied down. They want to enjoy life doing as they please without having to worry about hurting someone or, you know, emotions. Committing to someone is such a huge step for those types of people."
