Chapter 18: New Passion

Me. Rebecca stood up and kissed me. On the cheek. I could feel my face turning red. I could tell Chad was disappointed because he probably wanted Rebecca to kiss him. Rebecca then went back to her seat and it was her turn to pick someone.

"Josh. Truth or dare?" Rebecca asked.

"Uh, dare." Josh said, a little hesitant.

"I dare you to tell us all who your crush is." Rebecca said.

"Don't have one." Josh said.

"Oh come on. Everyone has a crush." Rebecca said furrowing her eyebrows.

"Well, I don't." Josh said, sounding irritated.

"You know, it's okay if you're gay." Lily said.

"I'm not gay!" Josh said.

"Alright fine. If you had the chance to date anyone in this room, who would it be?" Rebecca asked.

I could see Hailey wanted Josh to say it was her, because she was eagerly looking at him.

"No one. No offense, but none of you here are my type... and I mean the girls."Josh said.

I could tell Hailey was disappointed, but she had a very good way of hiding it.

"Hailey. Truth or dare?" Josh asked.

"Dare." Hailey said confidently.

"I dare you to pole dance in front of everyone downstairs." Josh said.

"What?" Hailey asked.

"You heard what he said." Justin said, smirking.

"Okay." Hailey said, standing up.

I stood behind her and whispered as low as I could:

"Do you even know how to pole dance?" I asked.

"Not a chance." Hailey said.

We went downstairs and it was chaos. We heard something break and I even saw Max flinch, but he didn't do anything. There was this fireman pole that was in one of the rooms. I didn't even notice this room.

Hailey started with wrapping her one leg around the pole and slowly turning. A few people came into the room from the living room. Then Hailey started turning faster and let one hand go. She might not have known what she was doing, but she looked like a professional.

By the time she was done dancing, almost all the people in the party were in that room and she got a standing ovation. Hailey walked over to me and told me:

"I think pole dancing might actually be my new passion."
