"Morning sleepy heads." Anne and my mom said, smirking at Josh and I snuggling together."We didn't do anything!" I said, springing up.
Anne just smirked and mom laughed.
"Morning-"
Josh woke up and said morning but then stopped in his tracks when he saw me.
"Morning sleepyhead." I said booping his nose.
"What the what am I doing in your bed?" Josh asked, confused.
Anne and my mom smirked and left the room. Josh's arm was still around my waist.
"You're such a snuggler, aren't you?" I said, teasing him some more.
He instantly removed his hand from my waist and turned bright red.
"What happened?" Josh asked.
"You came over and found me crying, we took a nap, then I told you why I was upset." I said.
"Oh right. Are you feeling better?" Josh asked.
"Yeah, thanks to you."
Josh smiled at me the I passed him the Oreos that my mom brought in last night.
"I get to choose the movie this time." Josh said.
"Deal."

Monday
We were in English and Hailey and I were just catching up.
"I swear my weekend was so boring." Hailey said.
"Aw, poor thing." I said, playfully.
"Hey, be nice." Hailey said.
"I had an awesome weekend." I said.
I looked over to Josh who was staring at me. He winked at me and I smiled at him.
"Wait. Wasn't Saturday the day before Halloween?" Hailey asked.
She looked confused, but she didn't ask any further questions.
"Doesn't Josh look so cute today?" Hailey said, changing the subject.
I instantly stopped smiling. I forgot she liked Josh.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I mean, he looks cute every day, but today...he has the biggest smile on his face." Hailey said. "Oh my gosh, he's looking over here!"
I looked over to Josh and he was smiling at me.
"Oh my gosh, he's smiling at me!" Hailey whisper shouted in excitement.
Wow. She's a genius.

Cafeteria
"Hey Maxi!" I said, kissing Max on the cheek.
"Hey Soph." he said with a smile.
"How was your weekend?" Max asked.
When Max asked that, Josh looked at me and I knew what that look meant. Josh was basically asking if Max knew about... Grandma Lucy. I shook my head then answered Max.
"It was great!" I said.
"Who's skateboard is that?" Max asked, pointing at my skateboard.
Shoot. I must have forgotten to put it in my locker.
"It's mine." I said.
"You skateboard?" Rebecca asked.
"Yeah, all the time." I said.
"She even rides it to school sometimes." Josh said.
"Respect." Chad said.
"Why do you skateboard?" Max asked.
"Because I love it and it's a special part of me." I said.
"Skating is only for boys, Sophie." Max said.
"What?!" Josh said.
"Dude, that's messed up." Justin said.
"No, it can be for girls too, Max." I said to Max, feeling extremely angry.
Grandma Lucy hated stereotypes, especially sexist ones.
"Girls can also skate, genius." Lily said unimpressed.
"Oh please, stop acting like you're smart all the time, Lily." Max rolled his eyes.
Lily just stared at him, her face turning red with anger and her mouth hanging open.
"Don't talk to my best friend that way." I said, crossing my arms.
"Okay, sorry." Max said, not very sincerely.
"Don't be sexist, Max." Josh said, his blood boiling.
"Don't talk to me." Max said, staring Josh down.
"By the way Josh, my mom said we're going out to dinner again tonight." I said.
"What?" Max asked.
"None of your business." Josh said.
Good one.
