The weekend flew past really quickly, and before I knew it, it was Monday.

Yay.

First class... Chemistry.

.........

Josh and I were practically finished our Chemistry project, all we had left was to learn our presentation off by heart.

"Okay, that's basically all for our presentation. All we need to do is learn it off by heart." Josh said, setting a reminder on his phone.

"I still can't believe we have to do this stupid project and do a presentation!" I complained.

"It's honestly ridiculous!" Rebecca said chiming in.

Rebecca was doing her project with some girl from the cheerleading squad. I think her name is Ivy. Rebecca and Ivy sit behind Josh and I, but we never really talked. Although, after the party, we talked all the time now.

"Sophie, admit it. You don't like doing work because you're a lazy bum." Josh smirked.

"Shut up!" I said.

"Stop being such a bully, Josh." Rebecca said, standing up for me.

"Gals before pals." I said, giving Rebecca a fist pump.

I could see out of the corner of my eyes, Ivy giving me a death stare, but I couldn't care less.

.........

Cafeteria

"Josh was so annoying today in Chemistry." Rebecca said laughing.

"Why must you be like this?" Josh said, rolling his eyes at Rebecca and I.

Rebecca and I just smirked. We loved teasing Josh.

"So, what do you get up to this weekend Sophie?" Max asked me.

"Oh you know, baking, watching movies, blah blah blah." I said, nonchalantly.

"Was that it?" Max said, eyeing me.

"What's your deal?" I asked.

The rest of the group were indulged in their own conversations, so it was just Max and I talking to each other.

"I saw your story, Sophie." Max said.

"That's...cool, I guess." I said, unsure of how to react to that information.

"I also saw Josh's story."

"What in the world does that have to do with me?"

"You never told me you were hanging out with Josh on the weekend."

"Didn't think I had to." I said, trying to make him drop the subject.

"I'm your boyfriend."

"So just because you're my boyfriend, I have to tell you everything that happens in my life?" I asked.

"That would be great, thanks." Max said.

"Okay Max, I'm about to eat my chips. Is that okay with you?"

"Really?" Max asked with an unamused facial expression.

"Max, I'm about to breathe, is that okay with you?"

"Sophie, please." Max said.

I just ignored him and joined in the conversation with Rebecca and Josh. They were still arguing about how annoying Josh was. My girl has got my back.

"Rebecca Montez! I have brought you flowers and chocolates because, I just can't stop thinking about you and what you said at the party. You made me feel special that night!" Nerdy Neo exclaimed.

By now the entire cafeteria was staring in our direction. Neo must've been talking about the night of the party, where Rebecca "confessed" her feelings to him.

Rebecca stood up to face Neo.

"Neo-"

"Shh, it's okay baby girl. You don't need to speak." Neo said, shushing Rebecca.

"Look how pathetic he looks. He actually thinks Rebecca would like him?" A few people were saying in the other tables.

"Neo, what happened at the party, is all just a big misunderstanding." Rebecca said.

"What?" Neo asked.

"I can't accept these gifts you've brought for me. I only said that stuff to you, because it was a dare for a game." Rebecca said.

"So, everything was a lie?" Neo asked.

Rebecca nodded her head and Neo looked really sad. I actually felt kind of bad for him.

"I'm sure you will find a girl someday that you can spoil." Rebecca said, trying to reassure him.

He just walked away with his head down in embarrassment.

........

Josh's POV

"Josh wait up!" Max shouted, running over to me.

It was the end of the day now, and I was just about to go home, when Max stopped me.

"Hey man, what's up?" I asked.

"What's up is that you were with Sophie this weekend." Max said.

"Yeah, and?"

"And, you didn't tell me." Max pointed out.

"Didn't know I had to narrate my life to you." I said, nonchalantly.

"Stop being difficult. Sophie's my girlfriend." Max said.

"Tell me something that I don't already know." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Look man, I don't like you hanging around with her, okay?"

"Why? She's my friend, you can't have her to yourself."

"You really want to do this, Josh?"

"Stop being overdramatic." I said.

"Did you just call me overdramatic?!" Max asked, furious.

I rolled my eyes at him and walked away.

He can be such a pain.
