Goddamn it.

Aizawa sighed for the umpteenth time in the last five minutes. He knew taking his kids to the grocery store on his weekly run was a terrible idea. He didn't even know how his problem children managed to convince him to let them tag along.

To say they were chaotic would be an understatement.

What a shocker.

At least Iida and Yaoyorozu were being responsible and following his list. His other problem children however...

Yeah.

Bakugou was the first to split off. No surprise there. He immediately diverted to the spice aisle, much to Midoriya's horror.

There were a few that chose to stick with him. Jirou for one, even as Kaminari and Shinsou went off on their own to look at the candy. Shoji wandered off with Koda and Tokoyami in tow, Todoroki following soon after since they were going to pass by where the packaged natto was. Yaoyorozu had already put soba noodles in the cart, the vice president branching off ever so slightly to hunt for substantial food for Uraraka. Asui dithered after Sero and Iida, the two of them looking through the produce to pick out the freshest selections. She was hoping to find some ripe strawberries now that they were in season, the frog girl accepting a strawberry shaped candy tin from a bashful Tokoyami.

Both of them ignored the small snickers from Sero and the knowing glance casted their way from Iida. Usually the class president made it a point to stay out of the inner relationships between his classmates, but Asui often praised her friends, Tokoyami especially, and it took Todoroki of all people to tell him what was happening right in front of his nose for him to realize it.

Aoyama went by the bakery to scrutinize the pastries, undoubtably picking more than a few even if they weren't up to his standards, Midoriya grabbing his arm as he passed by him to point out the variety of cheese they had in stock.

Victoriously, you held up an indiscernible bottle. "Ranch!!!"

"NO!!!" Bakugou's voice bellowed from a hidden aisle further down.

You yelped, scrambling to catch the bottle that you accidentally let go of. After a few bats between your hands, you managed to recover it before it hit the ground. Whew, that was a close call.

Glancing back and forth, making sure you were out of range, you carefully snuck it into the cart anyways. Your dad arched an eyebrow at you and you grinned, bouncing away before he could call you back to put it back onto the shelf.

Aizawa rubbed his temples. A low, amused chuckle sounded by his ear, and Aizawa relaxed as an arm wrapped around his waist and tugged him close.

"Come now, Shouta," Hizashi crooned in his ear, barely holding back his laughter at the vein that popped through his forehead at the teasing lilt. He hip checked him lightly. "Let your kids have some fun."

"Papa," Eri whispered excitedly from where she was perched on top of Hizashi's shoulders. She tapped the top of his head, beaming at him when he turned towards her, pointing up ahead. "Can we see if they have apples? The red ones?"

Aizawa's expression softened at his daughter's hopefulness and nodded, ignoring Hizashi's endearing coo at his soft side. Discreetly, he swiped a bag of sugar off the shelf. He knew Sato needed more for his baking and he knew Midoriya was likely to forget to grab it when he wanted to make candy apples for her later.

It was Bakugou's turn to cook dinner tonight. At least he knew it wasn't likely to be disastrous once they got back to the dorms. Last time Ashido and Sero cooked, Kaminari attempted to help and something got set on fire.
