Hagakure definitely wasn't still in the middle of showing off her appearance to her still shell-shocked classmates.
Definitely not.
She twirled, giggling happily and bouncing in place so fast it looked like she was vibrating.
Jirou regarded her with no small amount of puzzlement. "How...?"
Hagakure physically lit up, the light refracting off of her now visible body and nearly blinding her friends in the process. You counted your lucky stars that no villains came running at her display. "Hatsume's been working on a light refractometer that can be integrated into my clothes since the beginning of the year so that I can be seen!! She also made a lotion and it leaves my skin sooooo soft and smells like cherry blossoms—"
"Not that Dark Shadow and I are not ecstatic for you, Hagakure, but is this the right time to be solving the riddles of sparkles and presenting the ways of it to the darkness?" Tokoyami deadpanned without preamble.
Hagakure stuck her tongue out at him but ultimately yielded, knowing he was right. Still, she flashed him a blinding smile before winking and disappearing from view once again.
Aizawa grunted as he was knocked into by the hyperactive girl who had yet to catch onto the caliber of focus this mission still required, shaking his head. He supposed they were taking it as seriously as they could. Still, more sessions with Hound Dog would have to be scheduled for all of his kids to address the necessary traumas undoubtedly resurfacing. He needed to regroup with Yamada and Kayama to evaluate the state of his other problem children. "Keep your tracker on."
"Yes, sensei!!" Hagakure hollered over her shoulder with a grin before vanishing, her tracker blinking its way back to where the rest of their class had been before they split up.
"The rest of you know what to do." Aizawa ordered strictly.
The words barely left his mouth before his students were slipping into their positions, Kaminari sitting front and center in the middle of the cell with his head bowed as though he was still subdued. Under your murmured guidance, Jirou took her place beside you but closer to the door. Ojiro hung back with Shinsou, nearly plastered to your back. Todoroki stayed with Honenuki and Awase. One by one, the others shuffled, like ripples in the water disturbed by the smallest pebble. He regarded them silently, noting how each one of their formations had been altered ever so slightly.
Interesting.
They would lie in wait and then strike as soon as they saw the villains Hagakure would lure their way. None of them would be given the opportunity to lay a hand on them again. He would make that certain.
Honenuki shut the cell door before retreating beside Miruko. Shoji had smashed the lock so they couldn't be locked back inside and Monoma, who had copied the keys, threw his hands up with a pointed huff in his direction.
One that Kaminari, Asui and Tokoyami quickly shut down with an equally pointed glare. Monoma gulped, holding up his hands in surrender as Jirou's earjacks waved threateningly.
As they laid in wait in the silence, no one daring to speak a word, Aizawa briefly contemplated reprimanding them and correcting the formation. And yet, something in him pushed it aside and advised him to watch.
They didn't have to wait long.
Hagakure may have been bubbly and a true prankster at heart, but she was nothing but efficient and it showed in everything she did. Her airiness and distraction paid off and put her classmates at ease for the final phase of their operation.
Thundering yells and harsh orders transcending into horrified screeches upon realizing the cells were now mysteriously empty grew closer and closer. Aizawa's heart stopped as it was much more than he expected after Jirou gave him the numbers.
